Really disappointed about bank closing accounts without permission or proper notification, right before pay day. Extremely frustrating and now closing my account, will not be recommending to anyone!!!

Ive used this card for a good few years now, I can’t think of anything bad to say, If you want to save money then this is the place to do it, I use this to save my money up and have never had any issues that weren’t my own fault

Until about two years ago I would have had nothing but good to say about Engage. However, since then their service has plummeted. There was a time when customer service advisors were available much more readily and also for longer periods during the day. However, now on the occasions which I need to contact them I am told by the automated system that my call could be up to two hours. In my opinion an organisation that is prepared to tell you that you have a two hour wait tells me a number if things. Firstly, they do not care about you as customers. If they did they would employ more people in their CSA team. Secondly, they are really not adhering to their advertised philosophy of enabling people ( generally credit union customers who may have financial issues) to access banking services that other people take for granted. Let’s not forget that these services are not free and often come with quite expensive surcharges which it appears Engage are happy to take but then they are not prepared to reinvest in the model Engage was originally (in my opinion) was committed to and now instead just treats people who may have made unwise financial decisions in the past, but rather than assist people with their finances they are happy to charge as much as possible for their services whilst not even being able to answer their phones within a two hour window. As a result of spending vast amounts of time waiting for up to two hours that unfortunately I have had to end due to other commitments I now have no option but to look at alternatives. I shall be looking at other providers. Ironically, I am probably now able, due to Engage (when it worked with its clients) by at one time being not only efficient, but also sympathetic able to take on an account with an High Street bank or a online competitor. However, there was a time when I was loyal. Unfortunately, there is no way I can remain loyal to a company that has no shame and are happy to advise me of a two hour wait in order to discuss a Customer Service query. By doing this Engage are showing nothing but contempt.
