Description
The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) app from U.S. Customs and Border Protection allows Nationals of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) countries to apply and pay for a travel authorization without a visa. The ESTA app is a mobile version of the ESTA application process and information that can also be found on the ESTA website at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov.
The ESTA app currently has two features available: Apply for New Individual Application and Search for Existing Application.
• The “GET STARTED” feature allows travelers to create a new ESTA application, pay for the ESTA and submit the application to be processed by the system to determine if they are eligible to travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program without a visa. The system will provide the traveler with an automated response.
• The “FIND IT” feature allows travelers to check the status of their existing ESTA application..
CBP recommends that you apply for ESTA at the time you book your travel, but no less than 72 hours prior to boarding.

I’m ESTAstatic!
I’m you’re required to get an ESTA for travelling to the United States this is literally legally the only app to do it with.

Payment errors
I have paid 3 times now and ESTA still shows as needs payment Payments can be seen on my bank statement
Copy and paste
A great app but it would be nice to be able to copy and paste from other apps or from a laptop (unless this is somehow a security issue)

Fantastic. Easy to use. Didn’t close because I was slow.
Date of birth on ESTA is displayed wrongly
Not sure if the developer reads this but the app shows the Date of Birth format will be (DD/MM/YYYY) but the day and the month are then shown back to front - 05/16 for example. I couldn’t see anywhere to report a bug so here will have to do. Otherwise app is all good
Telephone number error
When inputting your mobile number, remember to omit the first zero. Form not helpful on this front, would not let me do anything when inputted wrong until I exited page and reopened the form, then had to refill the error page details again. Would help if there was a helpful drop down info box showing how to input UK telephone number and USA contact’s number.
Difficult process
I found this much more difficult to process than before, perhaps not easy to do on phone, and for pensioner not too tech savvy quite frustrating tho happy now completed
