Suggested improvements in the app: courier tracking status (in case if problem occurs can reach out merchant) and arrival notification at destination. If Etsy can offer more discounts to cover high shipping costs will be a plus. More options for international payment methods like Alipay+ or WeChat.
Worse buying experience ever. I’m NOT a seller. I’m a buyer with legit paying method, due to privacy concern, why must I give actual identity, after u requested I can’t buy anonymously, I provided my real identity, u still close my account. What’s the logic? Should I show my ID card when I buy stuff in grocery store? Ur rational and wats if dealing with the issue is unbelievable, your seller no wonder can’t reach more customer for their business.

Etsy closed my shop with no notice and reason. They are huge bullies behind the door as they do not provide any rationale or give small shop owners like me any information. This goes totally against their mission to support small business owners - on top of that they take fees from every item listed and sell of item and more other hidden fees. The entire situation is a huge frustration and I feel bullied against the wall and helplessness as Etsy is not here to help.
Some of my favourite stores are gone. I wrote to the owners and they told me Etsy had decided to close their stores without any warning for "policy violations" - I was gutted because I can't find these items anywhere else. Interestingly enough, the stores shutdown forcefully were located in Asia. Seems a rather targeted/racist action. The store owners told me there was no motive given to them when they closed their stores to understand what happened. This happened in the middle of black Friday and christmas - when it hurst them the most! I no longer support Etsy due to this disastrous situation, and I urge everyone to stop using this.

I am not sure there is good seller of the platform. At least I met two illegal seller at the same time… they respond fast at first and will be careless after you do the payment. CS respond fast but they can only say nothing to do about payment or refund you made in Paypal. No guarantee to buyer. I am still doing refund with Paypal and the seller respond nothing right now. don’t waste your here unless you can ensure transactions with those unrecognized sellers are safe and legal.
