I pay for Eurosport to catch up on tennis and cycling that I’ve missed, but the app insists on spoiling by showing headlines, or flashing up scores. Even in spoiling free mode. And the new clip mode shows you updates before you’ve watched the tennis. It’s like showing you the twist before you’ve watched the series on Netflix. And of course, why is there no search function.

Avoid if at all possible. ‘Spoiler free’ mode is a joke, it still lands you on the news page so spoils all sporting results. No Picture in Picture, you have to have the app open and running even for audio. Use the website and you have much more flexibility. Book marking the watch page of Eurosport.co.uk is far better than this trash, incredible that they make their own app worse than basic web based viewing.

If you are listening to music when you open the app it will pause the music. All the videos on the app auto-play even if you don’t want to watch them. Lots of ads that get in the way and feel quite spammy. Overall, good news (particularly cycling) but clunky interface.

I just signed up to catch up on the Giro and wow - what boring coverage you have. Is there a reason you don’t show key Information on the screen like peloton speed, average speed, gradient, climb length, climb profile? Anyone who knows anything about cycling knows that this is all the information that actually means anything and that helps you understand what’s going on. You show none of that - no wonder people think cycling is boring with coverage like yours! You should take a tip from ITV in the UK who cover the Tour De France. They show all this information on screen all the time and it’s so interesting, it helps you actually understand what you’re watching. Please consider this for your cycling coverage as honestly it’s just dull to watch right now.

Amazing great app

This app is made so that you can not find anything you are looking for, I want to watch a formula e but it isn’t sorted by season it is a mess with all of the races mixed together without any proper sorting so you can find what you want.

You select spoiler-free mode but half the time it still opens to the spoiler-full home page. Way to irritate your customers.

Have had the app for the best part of 5 years. Previously worked fine, however the latest update essentially renders it impossible to find videos without a highlight video with a title and thumbnail that spoils the outcome being thrust in your face. The desktop version has a very helpful anti spoiler mode, this should be introduced on the phone app.

The app has a mix of live feeds, full length replays, highlights, news and social media type videos. Sounds great right? But it’s is a dangerous cocktail if you are a sports fan who wants to catch up in the evening after a day of avoiding the results. The spoiler free mode was just about working (and really only just about). You had to be extremely vigilant, if you happened to have the app open from the day before, the app might quickly flash up the news (and therefore results) and ruin your viewing pleasure. This has happened to us several times this year - on some big races where knowing the outcome really affects the suspense and viewing pleasure. Trying to navigate the app to the cycling section today hit a whole new level of disaster and spoiler (even with spoiler free mode) when I navigated to the cycling catch up area the “most watched video” had the winner of the sprint stage in the title and a description of the type of end to the race. Another day of watching a race ruined. In an unrelated but equally irritating fault in the app, good luck when you’re trying to pick which of the three versions of the video on catch up is ad free. It’s like trying to learn a hidden code that keeps changing. Sometimes you’re lucky but often it’s like a a game of roulette. I’ve tried giving feedback to their support but pretty sure it was an AI response. And since then things have gone downhill. I don’t think the design team know what they’re doing. I miss the GCN app so much. It was so good at separating the news / results / social media and actual catch up. Functions like “watch from start” in GCN worked brilliantly, and the layout and images on the app was so much easier to navigate. And it was cheaper than Eurosport. What a loss. I hope Eurosport hire the GCN design team and fix this terrible app. Think we’ll be trying Discovery but will be hoping for a new and better offer from a competitor soon.

I just want to watch the cycling. Why do they have to make it so difficult? I don't mind paying to subscribe, but I just can't work out how to do it. Thank goodness ITV still have the Tour de France.
