The whole app has gone down the drain since the rebrand. And I used to love it. Won’t let me access content I’ve downloaded. Is so slow it’s unreal. Am cancelling my subscription
I cancelled my subscription because I was sick of randomly getting locked out of certain content with no rhyme or reason!! Incredibly frustrating as I only get to listen to 1 or 2 books before I can’t access anything worth listening to (seems to have gotten worse over the past couple of months too). With audible, at least I can actually keep the book for a lower subscription fee and they have an unlimited free catalogue. You are pushing customers away with your strange content restrictions and lack of transparency.
Not sure why there are now two apps for Scribd and Everand when one worked perfectly, and the new slider that constantly sits across the top feels next to useless, and is ALWAYS in the way of the top line of text when reading a book. I’ve had a search and can’t seem to get rid of it, it’s driving me mad!
I already paid for £10.99, but the app still doesn't allow me to listen to any audiobook! They still require me to resubscribe (again!) tried to request for a refund from apple or any solution to solve this problem. But they didn't do anything. Wasted my money on this app.
The limits have always been unclear which is sketchy but there’s always been something I wanted to listen to! It used to be good value if you could listen to 5+ books a month (2-3 bigger releases from different authors/publishers and few others) but recently I’ve only been able to listen to one book on my list before they all become unavailable again, with only access to a limited library. It’s very expensive for that, even audible is cheaper. The two times I’ve contacted support I’ve had such generic replies and had to solve my problems in other ways. All round a bit disappointing now from an app I used to love?
They have some good titles but they’re very difficult to discover and when you do find something and add it to your saved titles it seems to randomly disappear or become unavailable. The app is very amateurish. I literally have to restart it every time I do something like search or hit play after pausing a book. The UX is incredibly frustrating - it’s impossible to see something basic like a list of ‘new releases’ - they have a link called that, but it is completely out of date, worthless and wrong. Literally every new release I have read I have had to find by searching for the specific title (which takes ages) as it did not appear on that list. And I do mean literally. The support team just don’t care about their product or the users. I sent a support ticket for some help….1st response pasted a response to a different query. Then got two more replies that contradicted each other and we’re not helpful. I gave up ever contacting them again. On the whole it causes more frustration than enjoyment so I have cancelled my subscription.
This is kind of regular that the app completely forgot the current play head position Also I have a list of saved book from a series and suddenly is not available To: developer Will not waste my time to open support ticket as your site is bad So will change my review once I see changes in the update
When I subscribed nothing was said that there is a reading limit per month I had found so many books I wanted to listen to and the next day none of them were there I can listen to most books in a day or two and this was the best app for that am very disappointed to the fact there is a limit I just wanted an app where I could listen to loads and loads of audiobooks and I can’t find one
If £10.99 per month for unlimited audiobooks seems too good to be true, that’s because it is. You basically get to listen to 2 audiobooks from the full catalogue and then anything from a popular or recognisable publisher becomes unavailable until the next month and you are left with a choice of books you’ve never heard of. It’s like if half way through the all you can eat buffet they take away anything decent and just leave you with some cheese sandwiches. In addition, I was offered a free trial and they still charged me £10.99 because I must have used the app previously; if the free trial is no longer available to you then they shouldn’t push it to you.
