I’ve listened to 2 audiobooks and it’s restricted me, every book I want to listen to says ‘available soon’. It doesn’t say this when you sign up. Disappointed

The old app Scrbd was a real gem!! It’s. Its not been the same since the change to Everand. There are very minimal exclusive books in the selection. There’s now an hourly limit that literally make books unavailable once you’ve reached the limit for the month and have to wait until the next month to continue to book, what’s the point. It’s not really worth the cost and will not recommend. I plan to cancel my subscription.

I started listening to audiobooks as I enjoy reading but didn’t have much time to fit it in actually sitting down with a book, I tried a few subscription services before selecting this one as my favourite. I think it is better value than audible but it is a bit annoying to navigate and often shows you the same titles, for example sometimes you can search a book with the exact title and it doesn’t display but if it’s saved or you find the author you can normally find it that way. Also when loading up an audiobook it often states buffering after I’ve pressed play and I then need to press play again multiple times for it to buffer enough to actually play, this can be quite frustrating.

Scribds as Everand have stopped support for iOS 15 which I thinks is disgusting for paying customers. The option is to put up with constant reminders extended buffering or paying £100s to upgrade the phone while still taking your money! I will be cancelling this and going back to Audible who seem to know where their priorities lie. With the customer.

I was looking for an audiobook subscription where I could borrow titles or stream them but there seems to be no clear guidance on what triggers the “available soon”. I don’t mind there being a limitation so much as I mind that the limits aren’t clearly set out. If there were specific categories such as “premium books” where you could only listen to two of these per month or one per week or something and then a “unlimited listens” section which wasn’t limited so that you could pick your premium book carefully. The only information is that some titles might occasionally be unavailable due to your listening habits but that they will be available again soon with no clear explanation what the actual rules are. Therefore I will for now be sticking with audible and it’s one book per month to keep and a library of less in demand books that are unlimited because at least it’s clear what I do and don’t get included.

I’ve had Audible, Kindle and a few other less known apps, but Everand by far takes the cake! For the same price as one app, you can access ebooks, audiobooks, podcasts and even documents and sheet music. There’s a massive range too, which has led me to find many great reads than I would have found on other apps. I’ve discovered so many books I wouldn’t have even thought to read on this app that I wouldn’t have otherwise. While there may be times that you can’t access a specific title you’re looking for, I’d say it’s still worth it as you have unlimited access to everything else rather than say 1 title a month. And 9/10 I have found the titles I’m looking for anyway. There’s no hidden premiums, which I love about this app too. You have unlimited access to everything that is on the app, and it keeps growing too. An underrated feature if you’re in uni is the documents area. You can search really specific things and can find academic papers and even notes on a specific subject too. 10/10 would recommend!

I've used scribed in the past and had lots of issues with it, from being billed multiple times to not having access even after paying, and as another reviewer has said, to suddenly finding myself without credits to listen to the books I want to listen to and only being offered audiobooks I wasn't interested in. I thought I'd give this version another go and signed up for the free 30 days trial, only to be charged the next day. Tried to contact support and have had absolutely no response.

Loved it. Now technically it still exists but it’s impossible to log into the app, it will ask to sign in but then it opens a new browser window within the app and you can never access or simply use the app. Everand is now a separate app, in place of the original scribd, except for documents, won’t run on all devices. Just generally gutted, price doubled fairly recent yet it was so much better before. Three stars down from five stars. I will update this review if it reverts back to its former splendour.

I am not subscribed but every month money is removed from my account . I used the free days and after the period ended I also unsubscribed so I have no idea why money is removed from my account.I have lodged multiple complaints but my situation has not been resolved .

Used Scribd for years and never had problems but the new version of the app is a nightmare. Currently unable to log in - it opens a browser window and logs me in there instead of logging me in the app interface itself. Stuck in an endless loop of verifying my email and getting redirected to browser.
