I was looking for an app exactly like this and I found it last year. It is soo easy to use and you can add pin and track where you have been so easily. Highly recommend this app if you want to document your travels or day trips.
One thing I would add is places you want to go so you can change the pins as you go.

A huge backward step from what was a good app (as Footprint). Now it is terrible and virtually unusable. What were they thinking?
Problems with premium package
After using this app for several years, have had to purchase the lifetime premium package to retrieve my data. Disappointed that the data does not sync, even though this is noted as a feature of the premium package. Restore purchases does not work. Syncing with iTunes does not work. No response to my call for help from the app developer. Apparently also not entitled to a refund. This used to be a really handy, well presented app which I have enjoyed using. Disappointed that it has deteriorated so much in recent months.
App change dissatisfaction
Not happy about the pin not being colour coded for different trips and the pins are too big. Not better than Footprint app

Wtf??
Loved Footprint App, no more as it appears it’s been taken over and ruined.
Used to have different colour pins for different Stopovers, some “developer” decides I’m not having that anymore.
Can I get a refund? I bought Footprint not this rubbish
