The program is a more extensive complement to PT

Sk8erBoi777 on

This program is completely worth the cost if you are looking to strengthen your core and/or pelvic area after childbirth. The instruction is gentle and very specific to keep the movements safe and effective. There are different instructors, which adds variety- it’s on the level of going to PT, but for me even more informative.

Love this program!

Hi, I love this program and have found it extremely helpful. I have resolved my DR thanks to it and other pelvic floor issues! I would love if you could add the ability to bookmark or save workout videos. I like to add in some of the core workouts to my current path and it’s cumbersome to scroll through them all to get to the OPF videos each time I want to use them. Thanks again!

It really works

I’m on week 6 of my guided path and have almost completely healed my DR. My cores shape has changed drastically compared to day 1. I also have regained muscle tone, flexibility and overall feel better. I love that the workouts are short modules they are easy to work into my busy schedule.

Unhappy

Not satisfied with the app. There should absolutely be a one or two day trial to see the work outs. Half the people would opt out and not spend the money. Would not recommend.

Watch out for additional charges

The app is fine, but the renewal process is predatory. I recommend canceling the service after your initial purchase to avoid years of additional fees.

Real Results

Faulty Update on

A year after the birth of my second child I saw a PT for ab separation and was told it would probably never fully go away. I saw improvements with my pelvic floor but not with my core. After years of frustration I saw that there was a discount available for this app and decided to try it. In less than twelve weeks I saw complete closure of my separation and began to feel more strength and energy. I have moved on to the Surpass program and am now seeing great total body results also. I was skeptical because of what I had been told about my abs and the slow pace of many of the exercises, but I am such a believer now and am so happy I decided to give it a try.

Finally found what I need!

I have struggled with DR for 6 years and had the hardest time finding a workout plan or personal trainer who understood both my need for recovery and my desire to get back into more intense exercise like running. This is exactly what I need!! I love the structure of the program, the videos are high quality, and I appreciate the intention around research / having a medical board to review the program.

Not super supportive of new moms…

I was a little overzealous in getting back into my workout routines postpartum and at the suggestion of my doctor, I downloaded this app. Well… turns out getting into a regular workout routine is a lot harder with a 6-wk old baby, and I could never bring myself to actually sit down, open the app, and workout. I requested an extension on my membership now 4 months postpartum (feeling more like me and ready!) but was declined anything except a 10% discount on another 3 month membership. I know this is my fault but I was really hoping an app made for mothers would be able to extend some grace and allow me some additional time to actually use the membership I paid for. I’m really disappointed in the customer service!

Great app.

What a wonderful idea for an app. Really great insights and workouts. My only gripe is that the workouts move a little fast. Sometimes by the time I figure out how to do an action and sequence my breathing half the time is up for that side.

For every mother (that does not have a baby or toddler to care for)

XanForGTG on

The workouts are ok. That’s the good. The app has a lot of flaws. It’s hard to search for videos. You can get to other sections but can’t get back home without closing out the app. The forum is very clunky and is more functional as a Q&A. It’s also not easy/possible to search effectively. But the real problem I have — this is not for anyone that has a child to care for. ie. It’s not for ANY mother I know, let alone “every” mother. The “ how to get up and down safely “ video is about 20 minutes of every situation for you can think of except where you might be holding a baby. Or not have both arms and hand available to you. The fact that there isn’t a single mention of having a child or baby or breastfeeding etc is crazy. To take it further, there are multiple mentions that picking up anything moderately heavy (like a baby) will cause DR to get much worse. It’s mentioned in the forum that you shouldn’t have the weight of a baby/child on you at any time. The excercises assume that you have a solid hour a day without any childcare responsibilities. It’s fine for a DR fix for anyone that doesn’t have children or hasn’t been through childbirth. But definitely not for “every mother”
