"Discover the most successful, clinically proven, non-hormonal technique for managing hot flashes during menopause—hypnotherapy." - Dr. Gary Elkins, Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Baylor University.
The Evia hypnotherapy program is an easy and effective way to manage menopausal hot flashes naturally. With a program developed by world-leading neuroscientist and menopause researcher, Dr. Gary Elkins, Evia helps you learn how to calm the body's stress response and self-manage hot flashes with evidence-based hypnotherapy.
Evia is based on evidence-supported hypnotherapy and established clinical guidelines for the management of hot flashes, as recommended by The North American Menopause Society
and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RANZCOG).
In a recent study by Dr. Elkins, published in the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, women who completed a similar hypnotherapy program reduced their hot flashes by 70-80% after five weeks with continued practice.

...but it didn't work for me in any meaningful way. The app is pretty easy to navigate, but one real problem for me was that you can't modify your baseline hot flash symptom score, either at intervals OR with restarting the program. Also you can't enter your symptoms for the day after midnight of that day. I forgot to enter my symptoms several times and couldn't go back and enter them later. I presume that our de-identified data is being used for research purposes, so my data probably looks like I have had terrific success with this program for these reasons; however, I have not. I have never been "hypnotizable" and I guess I'm still not.
I was desperate to improve my sleep
I wanted to improve my sleep after I started having nightly hot flashes that kept me awake for several hours a night. I did not want to start any new medications. I was considering purchasing an expensive bed cooling device when I found Evia. Within 3 nights, my sleep was improved. At the end of week one, my hot flashes were reduced by 63%, and 73% by the end of week 2. During the third week, I started having 0 incidence of hot flashes in the night and also in the day time. I highly recommend using Evia if you are struggling. The sessions are pleasant and the results are fantastic.
Can’t get past the voice
I think this is a great idea but the voice of the person doing the hypnotherapy is unnerving. I couldn’t get past it enough to relax.
How much is this app?
Been trying to get price info for days now. Sent 3 emails and no response. Can someone please tell me how much this will cost after the free trial?
And still no response. Had to cancel because of their terrible customer service
It works for me!
I’m just finishing the Evia core program, and I’m happy to say my hot flashes are significantly reduced.
I started the program having 11 hot flashes per day and hourly night sweats throughout the night. I’m down to three mild flashes per day, and only one to two mild sweats per night! I’m thrilled that I’ve gotten my life back. The program was so easy to fit into my day, and I looked forward to taking time for MYSELF to listen and read. Thank you, Evia
Great results
I noticed results immediately, and even better sleep after listening to the evening session.
Great relief
This program helps to reduce the hot flashes associated with menopause. I had tried HRT and many supplements. This program has helped more than any of those. It also has so much interesting information about menopause in the readings. Please give it a chance, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Incredibly irritating
The idea is good, but the voice of the woman who does the hypnotherapy sessions is in a very strange, excessively breathy, fake style of speaking. She sounds like a serial killer. It’s genuinely disturbing. Impossible to relax while listening to her which completely defeats the purpose and renders the entire app useless.
Can’t access and can’t cancel - WTH
I just downloaded this app from a Facebook ad this morning and can’t get past the second page of questions as it goes to a blank screen and nowhere else. I now can’t even cancel the free trial and you have my credit card so I better not get charged the 139. I have reached out via email, but I am quite stressed and now anxious about this because I have seven days before you charge me. Please fix this ASAP and write back to my email so that I can assess this app and or decide if I want it. I currently cannot even access the Settings screen because of the questionnaire pop ups which I’m happy to answer and I have recorded a screen video but I have no way to share that with you on your Feedback screen.
Sleeping so much better
I was not expecting much but was amazed at how much this improved my sleep after about a month of daily practice. Daytime hot flashes are 30% less, which is good, but nighttime overheating/discomfort is down a lot more than that. I am sleeping several hours more on most nights than I have in the three years since starting with vasomotor symptoms of peri menopause. I know my symptoms wax and wane over longer timeframes, so I am waiting to see if with practice these results will be maintainable. Very surprised and pleased so far. Don’t know if I can continue subscribing long term due to the price but definitely worth the first 3 month run!
