Description

The Explore app offers Bible-reading notes that will help you dig into passages from the Bible on a daily basis. Each reading plan includes questions to help you engage with the Bible text, commentary to get you thinking, and ideas for further reading, prayer and application. The app includes the Bible text so that you can easily open up the Bible wherever you are, whenever you can.
Choose from monthly notes taking you through the whole Bible over the course of about six years, or pick from over 50 plans covering individual books of the Bible by authors such as Timothy Keller, Christopher Ash, Mark Dever, and Tim Chester. There are also topical note plans on Easter, Christmas, The Lord’s Prayer, and more! New notes are added regularly.
Start reading with a free 28-day introduction called Time With God as well as a free set of Bible-reading notes on the book of Titus.

Great notes, but my word, the fact that the app is seemingly incapable of keeping your place in the notes is infuriating. I often end up doing the same ones twice by mistake because each time I open it it’s rolled back to a random study.

Easy and effective

Very helpful. Makes reading the Bible easy to do, particularly with the right-hand column set aside for the relevant Bible text. A couple of bugs: - when reopening app the next day it has often gone back a couple of days in the notes - the tap target for back and next are too small, and so can take a few attempts to get to work. At first I thought the app had hung.

Doesn't open 🙁

Great app - but new bug

I love this app & recommend it to everyone I meet. But: I'm very frustrated with the latest version as it doesn't hold my place day to day but simply reverts to Jan 2! Complete nightmare - it's really hampering me because I have to spend ages working out where I've got to before I can begin each time. Most irritating and please sort. Thank you.

Brilliant app - beware most recent update

I am using IOS 7.1.2 on an iPad 2. Since the latest Explore update I have been unable to buy any new studies.

Excellent 👍🏻👍🏻

Love the latest update. I'm on iOS 9.1 and have not encountered any issues. The new layout is cleaner and slicker than the previous version, and I can still access all my previous purchased plans. (For those who have lost content, there is an option to restore purchases from the home page. However, there does not seem to be a "My purchases" folder in the "Buy" section as they have instructed. So this will need fixing). The developers have really listened to previous comments. A daily reminder has been added, plus you can now enlarge the font size. They have also allowed you to preview a plan before purchasing. All things I had requested in a previous review, so thank you. 😊 My only request now would be if you could link devices, so if you download a resource it will appear on all devices.

Broken

Since the update I have not been able to access anything from the buy section, including my purchases, which I had previously been finding very useful.

Broken accessibility

The writers of this app may have given it a clean look but in the process parts of it are inaccessible for visually impaired users of VoiceOver. VoiceOver no longer reads contents of the library and I suspect no longer reads what is available to buy.
