Great tool to monitor water consumption
This app is not working. My water usage has been shown zero gallon used. How’s that possible?
Great app providing homeowner with an “instant eye” on property’s current/recent water usage…; BUT if it could alert the owner of potential leaks somehow (ie., link to send text or show alert icon on the app, etc., VS the owner needing to view the app daily to monitor water usage …this would be a HUGE PLUS !!
Left my house with family on a trip on Wednesday and received text on sturdy from the water app that there is a leak in the house. Sent someone over to check inside and found the toilet flush stuck. Thanks to this app that saved me from wasting so much water and filling septic tank for a water leak.
My neighbor works for the city! He even was a big help off the clock!! He’s gave me great in sight about taking care of my home, an new ways to keep a eye on things! Very thankful for our city!
I like being notified about possible leaks. I had a leak caused by a faulty valve in my sprinkler system. The only problem was that I already had it repaired before I received the leak notice.
I get great insights on water usage so that i can plan my water usage. But the push notification of a “leak” cannot be dismissed, the app just waits until the next check, 24 hours later before the notification is disabled. Also it would be nice to be able to pause notifications when i am planning a long deep watering. I don’t want to turn off the notifications, knowing that i will forget to turn them on again. That may seem like a low rating for this reason, but it’s kind of a big deal to me.
Either the meter or the app provides bad data. In the middle of the night when no one is using water, eye on water app reports 100 gallons on some days and then zero gallons. It appears to be unreliable and the water management district thinks the remote reading cannot have any errors, as if machines never fault. I dont know the reliability of these meters but I know it’s reading usage when we aren’t using any water and have checked with professionals for all leaks.
Anything that helps us to be more conscious of our water use is a plus. Water is not just a resource but THEE Source of Life on Earth and clean potable water is becoming rarer. This makes you think about every time you flush the toilet, turn on the faucet, bathe, wash a load of clothes or water the lawn about what you can do to reduce your consumption.
We typically use 100 to 200 gallons per day. One day the usage went to 9,000 gallons the next day it was 15,000 gallons. The app showed “Good job no leaks detected “. Our plumber found an underground connection had corroded and failed. If not for the low water pressure, we never would have been notified.
