Facts repeat every now and then. It’s also pretty disappointing that when I went to view the source of a fact it literally claimed to be a pseudoscientific belief so that throws reliability right out the window. There are still some great facts but with the in app purchases, unreliability and repetitiveness it just brings the app down.

Many of the ‘facts’ are odd or subjective. There was one particularly concerning fact about how to trick someone into giving you their real number if they’ve tried to give you a fake one.

It’s fine but it repeats stuff a lot and the ads are so irritating, also when you try to report something as incorrect it just doesn’t let you. Like you can’t report things.
This should not be allowed anywhere. Great example would be if I sold someone a box for 30$ but they weren’t allowed to open it or look at what was inside until after they paid me. How would they even know if they wanted or needed it? Maybe it was empty and I was just stealing analytic money from them which is exactly what’s going on here. Makes me wonder how expensive paid reviews are and why we allow that so casually as a society. 👎
I don’t mind paying for knowledge and the subscription is not that expensive.
This app is amazing. Anytime I want to learn something random or am bored this app always can get me wondering or get me things to do. One thing that I dislike about Facts is when you have this app on two of your devices some of the same facts will show up. Other than that the app is good.
I like the idea of this, but the execution leaves something to be desired. It’s definitely made up of the kind of “facts” you would want to have verified before you repeat them. For example, one states that exercise and pets are the most effective treatments for depression. But if you click on it to go to the source, it’s just an article that talks about how pets can improve your mental health. The core claim didn’t appear to be there. My guess is the facts are gleaned by an AI program because the words are correct - “exercise,” “pets,” and “depression” - but the gist of it was misleading. Also, it says it’s for 12 and above, but I checked it out for maybe 5 minutes and got at least 2 “facts” having to do with adult content that I wouldn’t want my preteen reading!
