Super nice, but the subscription is annoying.
The app works wonderfully, but perhaps instead of a subscription it were a paid app, then I believe more people would be inclined to pay for it.

The basic idea is great, you learn random facts throughout the day in a not too serious manner. Also the idea that you can choose which topics interest you is really convenient. But all of this is irrelevant, if the information is faulty. I just saw a notification saying that Venus is the only planet to spin clockwise, which it isn’t, Uranus does too. Now i am questioning whether any of the notifications before were wrong too since I didn’t fact check them. This makes the app quite useless, I want fun insights throughout the day, and not boring sessions of fact checking notifications.
This should not be allowed anywhere. Great example would be if I sold someone a box for 30$ but they weren’t allowed to open it or look at what was inside until after they paid me. How would they even know if they wanted or needed it? Maybe it was empty and I was just stealing analytic money from them which is exactly what’s going on here. Makes me wonder how expensive paid reviews are and why we allow that so casually as a society. 👎
I don’t mind paying for knowledge and the subscription is not that expensive.
This app is amazing. Anytime I want to learn something random or am bored this app always can get me wondering or get me things to do. One thing that I dislike about Facts is when you have this app on two of your devices some of the same facts will show up. Other than that the app is good.
I like the idea of this, but the execution leaves something to be desired. It’s definitely made up of the kind of “facts” you would want to have verified before you repeat them. For example, one states that exercise and pets are the most effective treatments for depression. But if you click on it to go to the source, it’s just an article that talks about how pets can improve your mental health. The core claim didn’t appear to be there. My guess is the facts are gleaned by an AI program because the words are correct - “exercise,” “pets,” and “depression” - but the gist of it was misleading. Also, it says it’s for 12 and above, but I checked it out for maybe 5 minutes and got at least 2 “facts” having to do with adult content that I wouldn’t want my preteen reading!
I am really enjoying this app. I was pleasantly surprised with the many different subjects there are to choose from. I am learning many new interesting facts/trivia. I am always showing my family all the ones I think are the best!
❤️
I like the short but useful and helpful information.
Most of the facts I've been delivered are primarily from brightside.me, which is a website known for having low credibility and mixed factuality while mildly promoting pseudoscience. When I downloaded an app for 'Facts', the assumption was that I'd be provided with information backed by science and veritability. Overall disappointing experience to have to fact-check a 'facts' app.
