Summary
2017 A.D.
Chaldea, an organization tasked with observing Earth's future, has confirmed that human history will be eliminated at 2019.
Without warning, the promised future of 2017 disappeared.
Why? How? Who? By what means?
AD. 2004. A certain provincial town in Japan.
For the first time ever, a region that could not be observed appeared.
Assuming that this was the cause of humanity’s extinction, Chaldea carried out its sixth experiment - time travel into the past.
A forbidden ceremony where they would convert humans into Spiritrons and send them back in time. By intervening in events, they would locate, identify, and destroy the space-time Singularities.
The mission classification is an order to protect Humanity: Grand Order.
This is the title for those who would take a stand against human history and battle fate in order to protect mankind.

Fun Game, But…

AM BW on

United States

…God help you if you believe ANYTHING this game says. Most of the people and settings it represents, both from history and fiction, are mischaracterized to the point that it’s effectively disinformation against humankind. And I don’t just mean the obvious fact that [insert character here] wasn’t an anime waifu in real life. Spoiler-free examples: one character who was murdered in real life cheerfully says it’s okay that it happened. Another character affects the language and characteristics not of her real-life people, but their conquerers. Characters who were horrible in real life are made fun and cute. Ones who were ordinary people in real life are made into complete monsters. And if your only exposure to them comes from Fate/GO, your view of history will be fatally warped. So while I used to say the best way to enjoy Fate is to turn off your brain, I now say the best way is to have Encyclopedia Britannia open and fact check everything Fate/GO says. Somewhat ironically, doing that will expose you to a good variety of world history and literature, making Fate/GO an unironically good tool for learning if you use it wisely. 4/5: good game, bad civilization

Pros: Story, art, music, voice acting Cons: Unbalanced gatcha system, most new servants are just old ones with a seasonal skin and reclass (e.g.Artoria in a swimsuit is now an archer), no option to play on PC (but we have an arcade version)

Lag

Pull rate

I saved up 120 saint quartz and I still didn’t get to pull the featured servant pickup summon. Only 1 4-star servant and bull craft essences.

Brutal gatcha throwing peanuts

A classic example of an early and predatory gatcha designed to extract as much money from a player as possible. Insanely high pity rates? Check, and that’s even recent too - not too long ago there was no such thing as a guarantee. Currency manipulation to improve the daily value of spending? Check. Your ‘paid’ premium currency is worth 3x as much, but only once a day. Please give us money for pixels , but make sure you sign in or it’s wasted! Entitlement 101. Gameplay is no redeeming quality. Feels like playing Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. AKA no skill required, just get a couple random cards in your hand and pick an attack order. Units have special abilities to mix things up, but a vast majority are percentage multipliers or immunity to a specific condition. Pretty pedestrian stuff for characters you’d need to spend $300 to guarantee. Welfare is non-existent, expect one 5 star guarantee for the entirety of the grind. Updates are literally repeating JP servers from years ago, so they’re not spending a cent developing this garbage while you feed them your cash. Overhyped series milking a gatcha. The anime might be worth a watch, but don’t give this game the time of day. It’s a visual novel slog with imitation gameplay trying to get you to spend hundreds of dollars on a few JPEGs.

Terrible Gameplay and Terrible Story meet Great Presentation.

Bottom Line: Please do not ever play this game it is not work your time.

Broken Gacha Game

Avin Li on

United States

There is a rule in this game gacha function were after you fail to pull 330 times you get a guaranteed pull well its 30 to pull 11 which means 900. So I spent 900 to pull 330 didn’t get the card I wanted and the Guaranteed function never happened no 5 star after many pulls after a years saving gems. I think I have the right to say this game picks its players kicked to side like garbage never getting 5 star gacha is life. Another Info player info is on device only meaning once deleted its gone forever played twice at this point burnt out.
