Favor is the absolute worst place to order from. The app has far too many glitches, and honestly I’ve never seen a solution. Not to mention the wait time, and customer service. Sometimes the runners are kind and deliver on time, but more often than not, they forget items, cancel orders, etc. never using this app again
App glitches
The app is glitching really bad, my runner couldn’t pay for my order and no one would get back to her.
Pricing
Ok I get that the company has to make money, but it’s like they supercharge on taxes. I get a $15 credit because of a bad order which is nice owning the mistakes of the experience with a driver. But I go to order something not even $3 worth and include a tip, even without a tip, I get charged an extra $10 in tax and can’t even get what I wanted. Making it more worth burning the little gas to go get it myself. But then if you can’t go and get what you want yourself and don’t have the money in excess, what is the “credit” even worth?
They Now Require Tip Up Front
I have clear delivery instructions to not put food directly in front of my door that swings open. There are drivers who ignore that and put food where I have to kick the food from under the door to get it out of the way to be able to open the door far enough to grab the food. When they do that, I obviously lower the tip for making me have to kick my food. You can no longer do that. After the food is delivered, you can only ADD to the tip. Why would I tip extra for the pleasure of kicking my food?
I regularly tip like 25%-35% when they follow my simple delivery instructions. Now, there’s no recourse.
This was the one feature that made Favor better than any of the other food delivery services. And now it’s gone.
Not reliable at all.
I have used Favor off and on for a few years. More than half the time they get the order wrong, have missing items, or straight up cancel the order for no apparent reason. And it appears to be getting worse. The last 5 times I’ve used them they have messed up the delivery. I only keep using them because they will only give me credits instead of refunding my money. Their solution is always to say sorry and give a partial credit. Their customer service is a joke and is completely automated. There is no way to call or talk to a real person. I highly recommend using any other delivery service. Favor is just far too unreliable.
Wrong order. Zero support.
I ordered from a restaurant. I received the wrong items. I tried reaching out to the support line and kept getting a text saying “your phone number is not linked to an account” even though it was the same phone number I had on the account.
Worst app ever
Me and my girlfriend had ordered McDonald’s, our price was around the 20s and the payment went through, but I got my order and I didn’t get my food. When I asked for a refund or delivery for missing food they said I didn’t pay in fact I did and charged me more. Therefore I won’t use this app ever again and I think everyone else shouldn’t either.
Horrible Drivers and Customer Service
So we used Favor a lot and they had really good customer support and drivers but unfortunately all things go down hill eventually. We had an order that the driver kept for over two hours before we were able to get through and they never credited us back saying they would even with copies of messages we had. We decided to give them another try a few weeks later and part of order was forgotten, they said it wasn’t on the receipt but it was and they never fixed the issue saying they would. They also changed the whole tipping system. Your better off ordering local or through one of the mainstream apps. Favors customer service is equivalent to literally nothing because that’s the service they give.
No Fraud Accountability
My account email address was paired with an unknown fraudulent phone number preventing me from logging back into my account due to 2FA, and after 30+ runaround emails with several different Support representatives, I am still unable to recover my account. All escalations to the Account Access department have been met with radio silence, and they have not responded to my case at all. All to say please take this as a warning not to entrust any personal information to Favor as their Support for my fraud case has been severely lacking.
Order was not correct
We ordered for the first time and we were charged twice the amount than the prices on the app. After texting with 2 different people and the amount went higher. The amount went down to 2 times what the prices were in the app. One of the items we ordered was not what we got, we could not fine the item in the app was very disappointed. My husband gave up on trying to get the amount right. We will not use the app to order food again. This app is a rip off. Who knows how many people this has happened to and they didn’t complain. Be aware they will get you. DS
