Feeld: Open-Minded Dating App

How would I sum up Feeld in 2024, as a straight guy in London? Well, I ended up spending £600+ on Uplifts, had around 200-250 Likes and went on just four dates. Most of my connections on the app had zero conversation-skills, basic comprehension-skills or personality— the others were time-wasters, just browsing/chatting with zero intention of meeting in person, or legitimate weirdos. Unlike last year, Pings no longer seem to work (sent around 30-50 this year and got no connections from them), and Uplifts often returned zero Likes for the tidy sum of £8.99 a go 🥲. The most Likes returned from an Uplift this year was around 13, with the average being 0-5, unlike last year where 15+ wasn’t uncommon, so you really have your work cut out as a guy, (even with a detailed bio and 6 photos). Many other features of the app didn’t work as they should have, and customer service was at many points non-existent. All in all, 2024 has been perhaps the worst and hardest year for using Feeld as a straight guy, the most expensive and the most competitive: the female to male ratio is now at least 1:100 in London— a woman I met from Feeld said she got 300+ Likes within 2 days of being in the city and of course didn’t have to pay a penny, compared to most men who get zero Likes if they don’t cough up (I’ve tested my profile in other cities, and get decent visibility, so it’s a London issue for sure). Although Feeld does have some redeeming qualities, and has improved with some new features this year, they now have a firm dating app monopoly (especially as Hinge continues to lose customers) that they take full advantage of, with the gender imbalance helping to line their pockets, as straight men try and outdo one another in the hope of finding connection. The competition is very real. The exploitation of customers is very real. Kinky capitalism is very real… 🥲

Started using this app at the beginning and I must say, how has the distance bug not been fixed yet? I set my distance to close in London and yet still getting random profiles (almost every other one) with a distance of hundreds of km away from me. Maybe the app is full of travelling folk so if that’s the case maybe take the idea from Raya and have option to state ‘original location’ and ‘travelling to x’ so we know if we need to avoid matching with someone because of a lack of knowing how accurate their location is. Also, the ratio of straight men to women isn’t very equitable and leaves less opportunity for matching because women must be inundated. I think this method needs a radical rethink on how to truly connect people together.

Don’t waste your money. Hardly get any matches and when you do none of them speak. Pointless.

Worst app ever, it’s not safe. So many scams.

App is buggy as hell. Terrible

A very glitchy app. Paying for majestic membership is pointless as the daily free PING is often not replaced. Constant emails to “support” who reply with standard AI response and often not at all. Loads of fake profiles for IG accounts, only fans or other dodgy links. Don’t waste your money. If I could give it zero stars I would.

I’m a good looking guy - thought I’d try feeld - zero activity except for endless bots and scammers trying to collect mobile numbers Paying for it makes zero difference - refund expected (or else) Avoid - it’s a waste of money and time in every imaginable way - and that’s saying something for dating apps in general Oh and there’s zero tech support except a dumb chat bot with cut and paste dumb AI responses that often are illiterate FOOTNOTE - I got my refund from apple - of course apple refused until I showed them screen grabs of the endless fake messages and profiles trying to scrape my mobile number - that and threatening to sue apple
