Disappointed
having to fight the same monsters over and over again to grind materials to upgrade weapons isn't engaging gameplay especially since you can just set it to auto and walk away from your phone. I got this game just to enjoy the original story again and was interested in Sephiroth new story, I can’t even reach it a lot of grinding needed. I guess will drop it and watch a video instead

Decent casual gacha
I had a very bad review for this game at launch but they’ve fixed a lot of issues during the year. The QoL updates have been good. This is a very casual friendly game and very generous if you’re F2P. The turn-based combat is a nice return to series roots since the mainline games are all action now. While I’m not a fan of some of the gacha tropes, it’s not bad enough like other games to make me stop playing. My main motivation is collecting the outfits I like and playing the strange and somewhat simplistic event stories. I do like the main story revealing new lore and stories that connect with the mainline games. The fomo can be annoying but I guess they need to make money. Overall, decent gacha.
