I was excited to try this app after seeing the advertised price of $29.99 per year ($2.48/month). However, I was charged $3.99 instead, which doesn’t align with the pricing they promoted. This feels deceptive and misleading, as there’s no clear explanation for the discrepancy. Customers deserve transparency and honest pricing. If there are hidden fees or other charges, they should be disclosed upfront. This kind of practice damages trust and makes me hesitant to continue using the service or recommend it to anyone. I’ve reached out to support to resolve this, but so far, the experience has been frustrating. If you’re considering this program, beware of the unclear billing practices.

I have a premium subscription and have been using this app for several years. The ability to develop custom workouts is a particularly important feature for me. The latest update removes the ability to edit custom workouts — which has been a core feature for more than 10 years. You need to fix this.

Love the app, been using it for years. In the latest update, when you edit custom workouts you can no longer move exercises up or down in the order if you decide to add something. Please fix.

I've tried several workout apps, and without a doubt, this one stands out as the best in terms of value, volume, and user interface. It has truly transformed the way I build and track my workouts. I highly recommend it!

I’ve been using this app for years and was great because it didn’t make you pay for great features. But that no longer is the case. Sad to say but they’re going to lose many users and see many more 1 star reviews moving forward.

The meal logging of calories for this app is pretty worthless. Most foods it gets the nutrition incorrect even when you scan the package. Other times it doesn’t find most of the foods when you scan the package. And if you search for a food, it usually can’t find it or finds only something very generic. Looks like it’s back to my fitness pal for meal logging.

There use to be a list of free fitness work out plans for the non premium accounts. There was a wide variety based off your goals. Now it’s just a list of exercises. Plus I have to also sign up for the app just to see the free list now. As well as finding out after I signed up that there was no free work out plans…. I’m trying not to say anything over negative but this really grinds my gears. App deserves a thumbs down and no stars.

The reviews that say Fitness Buddy is an awesome fitness app dated prior to October 2024 are very true. This app has been a staple in my fitness life. However, the latest upgrade has locked out my prior fitness data, and removed access to custom built workouts and all access to any pre-built workout without a monthly subscription. It’s very disappointing. I hate monthly subscriptions, and would rather have the option to pay a higher fee up front. That’s what I did several years ago when I first bought the app. These ‘bug fixes’ are not a feature. It’s to force customers to pay monthly to get access to what they already paid for.

I like the app, I have a new iPhone and I cannot restore my subscription. I have sent 5 emails to support over the last week and a half, no response. Terrible!

There is no way to create a custom workout, despite what it claims. It has instructions on how to create a workout, but the feature does not exist. I’ve messaged them numerous times over the last couple months, they will NEVER RESPOND. Plus this app crashes A LOT. This app is DEAD. Trust me don’t waste your time.
