I enjoy this app
I live approximately 12 miles from an airport and sometimes they sound very close over head so I open the app and find out how low it was. Some times I just look up and think where they are going . Living in Connecticut I am amazed how much air traffic there is and I find it interesting.
The real time weather conditions information is great. As long as the airport is reporting it I have the information at my fingertips all on one open screen .

Even covers the small "Essential Service" airports
For work, I have traveled to small airports that have 1 or 2 flights a day. These are "Essential Service" airports after deregulation. This app never lets me down. It's data is truly comprehensive. When I travel to large airports, Fight Aware always has the most accurate info. Excellent app!
Great to Know What’s Going on Overhead
Super app. Nice to know what is flying overhead and a great help when planning to pick up family members at the airport.
Issues Logging in
App has placed me in an infinite loop. Says my know login and password gives me user id not found. Go to create account gives me account name is taken (it’s my email). Extremely frustrating so I’m stuck with ads and limited ability.
Your July 2024 security incident.
You had a security incident back on July 25, 2024 and notified me on August 18, 2024. You stated my user ID, password, email address, full name, billing address, IP address, social media accounts, telephone number, year of birth, credit card number and more data are at risk. That’s a lot of my information you allowed to be exposed.
It’s time you added two factor authentication to your platform.

This new version is not good. Do not like the elimination of the aircraft type on the Arrivals and Departures
Great before the update,
APPARENT changes to appease powers that be. now flights (ga) flying directly over my residence are obscured. Why I didn't want to update, but of course that was not an option, despite there being zero bug in my experience with the previous version, but a glaring bug with the new.
No longer useable
Recent update renders the app unusable on my older phone that does not have iOS 16. Web interface looks changed as well and is rubbish. The plane I'm looking for is long gone by the time the page loads and the graphics look like the original Flight Simulator from 30 years ago.
I realize developers are updating apps for iOS 16+ but many allow the older versions to still work - they just don't have all the fancy stuff.
Very disappointing. Flight Aware was one of my favorite apps. But it's not worth spending hundreds of dollars that I don't have to buy a new phone as is suggested:
If your device doesn't support the version of iOS required by the updated version of the FlightAware app, you will need to upgrade your device to continue using the FlightAware app.
