Thanks for the vote
How much does Flow cost?
Flow has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is $31.24.
Would never do without it! Instinctive and great.
Only thing I would add is after drawing something (I’m an architect) would be good if could select drawing and change the pen or pencil you initially drew. More technical apps do this. Quick sketching and notes. It’s the best. Technically drawing and layers… I use other apps. (I use Flow the most and have most of my office using it. )
Amazing for creatives
Really good for jotting down my continuous stream of ideas via an infinitely scrolling page, which means I don’t need to make all these new documents and organize them; I just jump straight into the action without thinking.
Amazing
I can play with my sister 💅🏼
Layers?
The only thing that was stopping me short from giving this app a five-star review was the lack of layers. I can't resist now! With layers and cloud syncing this it deserves More than 5 stars!
Why bother making it free
I can't do anything. ANYTHING. Because it constantly tells me that it’s a moleskin product. okay. i don’t care. i wanna draw and take notes but i can’t because the pop up for the free trial doesn’t take no as an answer. lame.
Needs export to PDF
Title says it all really. The app is fantastic, but I hate that I can’t export to PDF…
Thoughtful design. Very good, not perfect
I really appreciate the effort that has gone into the interaction design of this app. It’s unconventional, and in that sense not always entirely intuitive but I applaud the designers for trying to introduce novelty into the experience. The colour selection is a good example of this, I quite like it but it takes some effort to figure out. However there are some things which are just a baffling design decisions, like:
-lacking file organisation. There seems to be no way to multi select documents. And you can name your document, but there seems to be nowhere within the list of docs that’s actually shown?!?! It’s also not fun to reorganise documents between folders/tags
-the splitting of files on export is infuriating. I use this app for note taking, the key selling point no pages, and yet I need to restitch my files back together later. Very close to a deal breaker for me. I could deal with 1/8 of the default export resolution for notes in exchange for being able to export the whole thing.
Borders and text recognition.
It should be possible to expand the borders of a document both vertically and horizontally, rather than being limited to one or the other. This is a significant limitation of the app and really reduces its functionality. It makes it annoying to use.
It should also be possible for the app to convert writing to text. I can only assume this limitation is deliberate and designed to drive people to buy another Moleskine product that does offer this feature. Given this is a paid app, it should include this feature.
Flow
It is a amazing game I love the graphics and I have to be there for you guys thank you so much and love from me Ivy
Close to being first choice for note taking
UI, design, features, all incredible. However..
Pages aren’t an infinite resolution, so if you zoom in, everything gets blurry.
There is a slight delay with drawing on the screen when using the Apple Pencil.
There is a really annoying auto handwriting fix, stylising thing that probably contributes to this? When writing, most noticeably letters, it’ll make everything mini straight lines. Hard to describe but it’s annoying and want to turn it off.
More options for page layouts would be good too. Would like to use for uni.
Cheers
