Food Sense Guide Reviews

Food Sense is an excellent tool

xandra222 on

There are so many allergens and it can be very difficult to find accurate information This app has a long list of food information, though it has some limits in the food list, it is still excellent!

Food Chemicals

This App has to be the best so far for looking up Food Chemicals both Natural and added. Looking forward to one day being able to scan barcodes packaging one day. Can’t thank you enough

Great app

I never thought I need an app like this, but a sudden onset of a food allergy, and intolerances to histamines made me down load this. It is extremely helpful to be able to know what foods contain histamines as this is all new to me. I don’t know how I’d navigate my current situation without it. The app is really straight forward and simple to use. Melanie was very responsive when I needed a clarification on a good type, and will also add in a food that the app didn’t contain.

Fantastic!

Awesome app for overcoming the confusion associated with food intolerances!

I’d love details on oat milk , and water chestnut flour ..

Update : I was wrong , about only being able to add 14 foods to a list, I figured out that you can do this , just don’t try to add the same food twice to a list, 😂 app is pretty good, it takes some of the guesswork out of trying to figure out what I can safely eat, I have a total of 30 foods .. somewhere where we can add custom foods suited to self might be a good idea too as HIT and MCAS is so individual and time spend searching internet would be good to be able to add to personal list and record foods that aren’t listed , I’d like to know details on oat milk and water chestnut flour and would love to see more foods added along the way that are both histamine and oxalate free. Initial thought 💭 ”App is good except that I can’t add more than 14 foods to a list , if we could create a bigger list I can make a “Safe foods” list ..”

Nothing functions without Premium purchase

The description of the app says that they have made it free to everyone. I could not find the single function on the app that did not require purchasing the app at the premium level. Very misleading.

App is great, but…

The app is great. I like how it breaks down each food group and the food sensitivities with it. But I had purchased the full version, and now I can’t see any of the sub groupings.

I’m obsessed with the App and the Podcasts!

MCjustme3 on

So much information that I have found to be helpful to take my health to another level. I’m so glad I found this. I am on a journey to better health and I am so encouraged to start fasting more and try the supplements. The podcasts are so informative . Love love it . 10 out of 10!

Not Informative

ven571 on

United States

Unfortunately, I found this application useless. I was researching food oxalate levels. Each time I clicked on the food I was referred to a page for subscribing to the premium level. I received no information, just ads for a subscription. I went to the resources section to check the resources used for oxalates and found that at at least 60% of the links are no longer valid. Or are over 20 years old.

Nice app

In review, it’s a really well formatted app but not what I was lookin for. Does anyone know how to cancel the free seven day trial it doesn’t give uric acid levels and this is what I needed? Any help would be appreciated.
