Ford Charge Station Pro Setup

Not sure what the issues are with other users, but it worked like a charm for me. Setup charger to Ford Pass in about 5 minutes.

Not sure what the problem is for everyone with a 1 star review… not a single issue when I set mine up!

So it looked like there are 2 ways to set the maximum current when charging. In the app there is a screen and a slider that allows you to change the amperage from 6A to 80A. It doesn't work. My charger was set to 80A and no matter what I did the charging station pro would run at or even over 80A. If you want to dial down the Amperage that the unit runs at you need to change the physical dial that is inside the unit.

App is useless. Connected to the charger but it won’t pair with FordPass. Constantly says wrong id even though everything is correct.

Pure frustration trying to get thus app to work. Ford customers should not have to work this hard to get a important device like a charger to work. I have spent a number of hours fiddling with this thing. Seems like I finally got the charger on the network but then car did not charge overnight as scheduled. Now charger is off line and not connected. Like others, i have a network repeater in the garage so the network signal is super strong. My Tesla charger has no problem getting and staying on my network. Ford needs to set higher standards for its third party developers or learn how to do things themselves so they can be proud to put the Ford logo on things. I am strongly considering going wit a third party charger and dumping this thing altogether

Not only is this APP junk, so is the charger. Ford sent me a 2nd charger , because the 1st one would not stay connected to WiFi, well guess what. No other device at my residence has this problem, After all the hours I spent with Tech Support I’m moving on to a 3rd party charger

…both by the coders and by the customers. Ford, don’t bother replying with you’re boiler plate “call us if you’re still having issues” as we ALL know you have no fix. Enough with the gaslighting. Ironic for an all electric vehicle. The thing Ford has yet to understand, culturally, is they’re now as much a software company as an auto manufacturer and the lightnings are sufficiently sophisticated such that they require (and are clearly expected by lightning owners to have) equally sophisticated and well designed software. Calling for support is almost as useless as this app. And that’s on Ford, their culture, and their designers - not the support people. Do better, Ford.

Won’t connect. No one at Ford can help besides giving me another number to call. Do not buy this charger nor pay anyone to install it. Purchase a cinder block instead. It’ll function better.

While this is a nice device I will not be ripping out my Enphase system for V2H or V2G. Please work with Enphase to allow the charging leads (J1772) of this device to be hooked up to non-critical loads breaker and the CCS leads to be connected to a generator input port.

Why not remove this app all together? The Ford app connects to the pro charger. Having this app confuses costumers and doesn’t simplify the process. It would be a great idea to pull the app to work on the flaws and then publish it again when it’s ready. I love my car, this app has been the only downside. Thanks
