Enjoyable game, but
Why do you have a special quest of watching an ad when it disables the game. Each time I click on the ad to complete the quest the ad loads and then blacks out my iPad screen. To get back to the game I have to exit out and restart. I only keep going because this is my only issue really so far.
Cheating encouraged!
This used to be a great game and then Inno started turning a blind eye to cheating. It clearly states in their rules that automation is not allowed yet they have ignored players using bots/scripts to speed up their fighting. They’ve also ignored thousands of complaints about cheating. A Fortnite player was banned for life for doing the same thing, but in FoE they simply don’t care if you break their rules. Don’t bother…
In game events.
Last 2 - one for St Pats Day and latest are mindless rubbish. No proper instructions. As a result not wasting any hard earned on these events. A lack of east to locate, customer friendly feedback point is a concern. Wade carefully here. A good game if you are into patient city building. Battles format are soooooo strange and one dimensional
Overall a good experience
Started playing Forge of Empires (FOE) in about the first COVID lockdown (2020) to keep me entertained. Overall I’ve enjoyed the game through the ages but I’m pretty disappointed with the final age - Space Age Space Hub. It’s almost as if Inno didn’t expect anyone to make the final age and put no thought into it. Slow, boring, takes forever to achieve anything. I’ll keep plugging away but spend minimal time on it now.
Long Term
Been playing this game since 2019 and quite enjoy it. There are plenty of options for playing style such as forking out cash or not forking out any. I like to pay for the games I love and usually contribute about $40 a year to Forge. It’s a nice way to vote with my money on what events I prefer and what prizes I want. I designed my city to nestle in the environment. What I would like is a way to access prior Era settlements so I can feel like I’m building an ‘empire’, not playing in a sandbox. The Inventory access is still illogically connected to the building menu, however. There are many types of battles, too. I most appreciate this game for the way it doesn’t force me to play in teams or pay for anything. Much appreciated.
Forge of Empires - Best Game on the market!!!
Brilliant game strategy. This game will get you thinking, so many different angles to it. It is a lot of fun, especially if you join a great Guild, then you will be sure to enjoy it more and more. The APP works really well and there are regular updates. Yes you can spend money if you want to to buy Diamonds but you don’t have to and I have found no need to do that. You can play this game and enjoy all its features without spending any money. Remember it is a game of strategy, so it is not a fast game but one which you will have to think about and strategise. Anyone who wants a next level game, one in which you can have your own style of game play even within a Guild, use your intelligence and take your time with, then this game is top of the range. I have been playing FOE for many years and still find it enjoyable. Give yourself a challenge and try Forge of Empires, a brilliantly put together and supported game. Highly Recommend.
No Support
The game is unstable and when it locks up you cant get any support to resolve the issue. I have sent messages to support with no response.
