Forge of Empires: Build a City

I played this game for 5 months or so, initially I was impressed and enjoyed the game immensely. The recent changes to QI now mean it’s now a diamond sink (money sink) because you can’t get a worthwhile score without spending cash. You can’t upgrade the QI base fast enough for it to be useful. As if that wasn’t enough my small guild of 12 people was matched in GBG against a guild with 75 members in Guild Battleground. When the score is based on the number of wins that means my guild members had to have 6 wins each for every 1 win for the other guild members just to break even. Strangely that did NOT make for an interesting and exciting battleground. You’ve lost me. There are other games which have more evenly matched combat and where the developers have greater regard for the enjoyment of the players.

After over a year I get told that being unable to log in has to do with living in Australia and there isn’t anything they can do about it. Why is the app still available in the Australian App Store then?

Advancement was glacial. Lost all my progress in an upgrade. Deleted the app.

This is a good game and have been playing for 8 years... But the information video about the game are so from the game.. It's sad that they do this...

Yes, you can do a few things and get emoted in the game but then you discover that you can’t seem to get diamonds any other way except through cash. They do say “in app purchases” and many games like this are playable for free but tough. Thi one is not only unplayable but suddenly I wa logged out and my game details and progress deleted. IMO avoid this game unless you want to pay $$$$$$$’s

I’ve been playing on and off for 17 years. I love the game. I love that I can leave it and not play for a year and then get back into it where I stoped. The best thing is Halloween event because it has the coolest avatars.

Such a great game I love playing it. My only dislike is to get ahead you need to pay for some things as the game goes along. Other than that it’s very addictive

This game used to be a guild vs guild based challenge, unfortunately it has just become a snooze fest with the top guilds in the main battle part of the game never facing each other in GbG, instead it’s just crushing smaller and less competitive guilds. The game is best left for those in retirement villages. It’s no longer a game for mid to serious gamers.

I played this game for 5 minutes and it was so good
