Forge of Empires Reviews

Slow, tedious

This is a game designed to make you spend money. It is not possible to progress without diamonds. You get 300 to start with which soon get used up. To get more, guess what? You have to buy them. No chances given to earn diamonds throughout the game. The battles become unwinable very quickly on Slow progress, tedious game play.

Nice game, but all process has been lost after few days. Time to check how the support service works.

Well I bought this game wanting to have a game on my iPad to play whilst traveling. It started off ok then became apparent that it's a long drawn out game that is tedious after a while. The in app purchases are a complete rip off, unless you want to spend 75 years finishing the first level. There are quests to complete that require fighting against the game(IA) , one major problem is your armies are nowhere near capable of winning once the first "age" is complete. Therefore I see this game as nothing more than a cash cow for the guys that designed it, unless you purchase diamonds to buy in app to then purchase ever evolving ages ( ie, Bronze Age, middles ages etc) to then try to grow your town into a city, then change the buildings to suit the times. The only good part of the whole game is playing against other gamers, once winning- then plunder they're village, that's about it!!! On a scale of one to ten, the game play is one-reason- it takes far too long to grow the town and collect coins. Graphics are basic but watchable. The idea is great but the price for diamonds is way way to high, plus buying the in app diamonds as a purchase through iTunes is the only way to add diamonds to your in Ventral, without them you can't really progress like I mentioned before, without spending the rest of your life playing. Overall 2/10

When you make a complaint they don’t take what you are saying seriously, even with images on the issue they will not try and resolve. They will talk down to you in condescending way. The game will glitch and you will lose something from the glitch such as progress you report it and they will do nothing or even show an interests in fixing the issue. If you been harassed in the game and send a report with the required proof they will blow you off. They are very low IQ and disrespectful in how the address you. They show extreme prejudice for no reason. They are low class to say the least

Stupid controls

Very good game but some functions like in battle I was trying to learn how to play this game and spend 30 minutes of nothing . So basically this game is plate left for people who made this game only and no how related to people who looks for good game. This is trash . Pass it will be recommended for everyone .

Not what it seems 👎

I was drawn to this game by the idea that it would be kind of a blend of Simcity and Civilization: economic strategy, city design, and historical challenges to overcome as you pass through the ages. The first disappointment came on realizing that it has no real historical aspect and entering space age is little different than stone age except for aesthetics. Most seasoned players never leave iron age because why bother? There’s an exciting sounding “expedition” every week to explore “new areas” but all you do is move down the same path repeating the same two dull challenges over and over. The second disappointment was realizing there’s not much economic strategy or history based city building. Players can stay in the very first age because cities end up being just a jumbled collection of specialty buildings earned through seasonal contests or bought, no regular buildings at all because the specialty stuff is all you need and easy to get. Eventually I figured out that the real focus of this game is beating up on other cities, every other aspect of it is mind numbingly boring. So there are guild wars, city vs city wars, and if you’re bored for a minute you can attack a random unsuspecting city and rob them. War makes the devs a lot of money as players open their wallets to make sure their team wins, a coincidence I’m sure. But since I want a game with a brain and not just mindless violence I guess I’ll keep looking.

The Game is what it says it is!

In most games, the ads are much different than the actual game. I downloaded the game with that assumption and was pleasantly surprised.
