A costly stopwatch after a year

Raghul Ironman on

India

While the goggles is amazing for the first year with all features included, it becomes just a big stopwatch after the first year. While I own the googles completely, the app doesn’t let me plan my own workouts without premium. I understand that the structured workouts are not accessible and it is a premium feature but also the Headcoach is removed which is part of the goggles. I understand if they don’t let me see the metrics of headcoach skills after the session but removing them altogether is too bad. Now the goggles is just a stopwatch with auto on/off

Needs Improving

The idea is cool but the execution could be way better. I don’t have very good eyesight but only for seeing the bugs far away, but for some reason I can’t see the display well and it looks blurry, I don’t expect them to fix it because maybe it’s not possible but at least you could warn people about it. Also the UI of the app is pretty confusing and there are constant pop ups when I’m just trying to make a workout. And for some reason even when I put the pool length to be 15m every time I do a lap it counts it as 25m. The product is good thought as I need something to keep track and make workouts with but it needs something fixes.

Year 2 with FORM

New FORM 2 Goggles The FORM goggles were life changing. The FORM 2 Goggles fixes just about everything that I found concerning with the first pair. They fit so much bette. It’s like day and night. I can now push off the wall with confidence that they wont start leaking. Thats huge. The addition of the Heart rate monitor was an engineering breakthrough. Now I use my polar HRM for other tasks. I caught the goggles at a reasonable price. These are incredible pieces of technology and its worth every penny with the new design. They are also actually “slimmer”, less blocky. The only problem I have is that although they have also provided the unheard of technology of synchronizing workouts back and forth between different fitness platforms, there is a problem with TriDot. I think it’s amazing that TriDot can send the swim workout’s to the goggles and that the goggles can then report back to TriDot on how you did. That is AMAZING! The only problem is that TriDot ises interval timing to monitor a swim and FORM uses heart rate to assess your performance during and after the swim. This makes it difficult to gauge where you are sometimes but I have found a way to work with the FORM data fields to keep myself generally where I am supposed to be most of the time. Otherwise, these goggles are absolutely incredible and worth every dime. I wish I needed to use the Coaching and Training programs that come with the account. Maybe I will use their programs if I cannot get TriDot and FORM on the same parameter for workout intensity. As a senior, I like the idea of using heart rate to monitor exertion.

Started great, now just clunky murky goggles

I used to love my Form Goggles, but now they won’t even connect to the app. It’s super dumb that they would ever force an update when all I need these things to do is count laps. Now it just says “Connect to iPhone” and it can’t even do that. Spent 20 minutes sitting outside of the pool fiddling with them only for them never to connect. Huge pain.

Terrible

Needs a membership or it deactivates your 250$ googles

Must have credit card

Hafunny:| on

Don’t bother buying these for you or your children if you aren’t planning on giving them your credit card info. There’s no way to use the goggles without the app because “update required”. There’s no way to use the app without giving them your financial info. It’s false advertising and I’m reporting the company.

I love this app!

JillianJT on

This app is my favorite way to track my swimming without having to do a ton of math to know how far I‘ve gone! 10/10 recommend!

Forced subscription

Halcyonhal on

I bought the smart goggles and found app forces you subscribe just to get into it. Very lousy tactic… they’re just hoping enough people forget to cancel. Super lame.

Decent pool. OWS needs work

DR. PTBob on

The actual goggles have poor field of vision for sighting in open water. App has frequent glitches that after reported take a long time to resolve.

No reading glasses needed
