The service at Forward has been great, but my experience with their app has been consistently marred with issues. My biggest problem is that the app tells me that I need to create an account to log in, after I’ve been a member for months now. The app was working well up till today, and it’s frustrating that the only way to get a hold of support is via an email, which may take up to 48 hours to get a reply. I hope i can get into my account soon as I need to speak with my doctor, and the app is the only way to do so. There is no desktop/web platform for this service, so when things go wrong, it makes for a frustrating experience.

Good genetics review visit, but bad experience with the first visit

I’m updating my review to 4 stars. The initial onboarding in their office was not good and clunky, but an actual conversation with the doctor based on genetics report was great. They give you more information comparing to 23andme. You can discuss an action plan with your doctor, they setup more tests if needed. If there were no issues with the first physical visit, it would be 5 stars.

Canceled my membership and they kept charging my account. Terrible service. Wish could rate negative stars.

Worst app

I finally joined as the concept is futuristic now I am doubting their services. I did not get appointment for 2 weeks ahead after signing up. Now their app does not even open the day I have their virtual visit. I tried to contact them but I did not get any response. Not sure if I am going to continue if this continues

Negative 5 Stars

If I could give this company and app negative 5 stars I would. I like their concept and idea but really poor execution as everyone else on here seems to agree with. Personal complaints: - they rarely have availability and if they do they have the worst times. This is across multiple cities and locations - you can’t even see the doctor in the app and require a desktop which is completely useless, this is basic technology - i finally got an appointment and I had to receive a verification code to get on a call that 1st didn’t arrive, with a second number it did and I entered and it said invalid, leading me to miss my appointment - have not been able to see one doctor and been a member for 2 months - trying to give seeing one doctor a chance but on the verge of cancelling my membership

Terrible experience

I was duped by a very pushy rep to sign for this very attractive fairy tale about getting state of the art medical treatment and getting blood at your house by a “ skillful” nurse having the vein scanner for those with not so easy to find veins to draw blood and also I got Appmt with a virtual dr to talk in a following Sunday afternoon via chat zoom. Everything sounded fantastic . Only to find out the harsh reality was totally far from description of these scam artists . My appointment to draw blood on a Saturday was pushed to a much earlier time inconvenient for me given the fact that I can’t sleep all night cause of my knee and other body parts pains. Finally a nurse showed up in a hurry and she start poking me in both arms refusing to use alcohols as disinfectant saying that it will “ burn the poked areas “ and couldn’t draw any blood blaming on me that I don’t have veins and she can’t wait for these kind of people like me because she has patients to take care off. I asked : “ where is the advertised vein scanner”? She said that is only for the office . The pokes left open were hurting me for almost one week cause they got kind of irritated - almost infected -from the contact with unsterile environment . She promised to come back the following Saturday . I was waiting all that Saturday but no show no call . I got ahold of her phone number ( the travel nurse phone she used to text me to make me aware that she will come much earlier) and I let her know that I was frustrated because of “no show no call “ from her part and was not fair for me to wait without eating or drinking and not going all morning anywhere or at least to sleep till late given the fact that was my weekend . She forgot that she promised me she will be personally at my house the following week Saturday and asked me why I have not made appointment with someone else cause she will not come …but why she did say totally the opposite? Anyways my virtual dr appointment on Sunday didn’t happened either . I tried to get ahold of them but unsuccessfully. I sent email to cancel and refund my $99 back but no one answered to my request so far. I keep receiving messages urging me to download their app which I did on the very first day when I’ve got enrolled . Moreover nurse was sending me to draw blood to their office in Glendale which in the morning traffic is extremely inconvenient cause I live far away like 2 freeways distance more than 60 miles round trip . Given the fact that my knee, back an

Disclaimer: Buyer Beware. my doctor’s visit went well. She was awesome and to the time with me. However, here’s what I wish I knew beforehand. I wish I read the reviews here vs their website. In no way, would I recommend this to a friend or friend. 1. You will not be able to talk to a person until you meet with you doctor. The app is terrible. It is the absolute worst app I have ever encountered. I kept receiving notifications to download the app for weeks even after downloading it. I made an appointment only to receive notifications to make an appointment. I tried to contact a person and no luck. Only email. And they take up to 48 hours to respond. 2. It’s frightening to know they have all of your personal info and you can’t get help from a person. 3. After my visit, my doctor prescribed a medication that she said I could get by end of day. Because the app is terrible, I can’t access the prescription. Can you believe it? We’re talking about health and in many cases, prescriptions can be life or death? Can you imagine not being able to follow your doctors guidance because of the poor functionality of the app? And, not having access to a single person to resolve the issue for you quickly. 4. I would not use this to replace your primary care. I would not recommend this as your main source of medical support. If you’re fortunate, I’d use it as supplemental. 5. You will not get the customer support you hope for. This is worst than a doctor’s office with a poor office manager. In that case you can actually access the doctor; here you can’t because everything is through the app. I can’t message my doctor about my prescription bc the app won’t work and no one on the team will help me.

Forward makes no sense

The app is horrific, if you need multiple labs, the apps makes you schedule each lab on a different day/time, not so forward is it? It seems that this is a failed model, it’s effectively app health care, I’llstick with my local doctor and if needed head to a Zoom care

Awful

Heatherhop on

United States

I made the mistake of signing up and I’m in my 3 day grace period as described in their terms, but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to contact them. Tried emailing, messaging through the app, even social media messages, nothing. Legally my agreement says I can get out in the first three days but I feel like I’m being fleeced. They likely won’t get back to me until the grace period is over and then use that as an excuse to not let me cancel. Considering asking my lawyer friend for advice if that happens. RUN. Do NOT sign up.

App working again.

arbnknight on

The app is back and working again. I haven’t ever had a problem with the team in location or the doctors. It has been great. They’ve been very accommodating to all requests. The app could do with some work. I really would like the app to write data back to Apple Health. It feels too much like an old school medical closed ecosystem. It would also be nice to see the app support FaceID/TouchID to protect confidential medical information. It feels like WhatsApp can be made more secure than Forward. Not the bar to set for the app. Follow the patterns of most banks instead. FaceID on launch with an app PIN. Make this optional.
