Best app for podcasts, i like the fact that i can support my favorite podcasts with tiny bits of bitcoin aka sats. Also the fountain team is publishing a lot of updates with new features from time to time, and at a remarkable peace. Great job guys!⚡️

Pretty buggy if you try to get on social media apps. Just shuts itself off until you close the other app. Won’t play sound if you switch between apps. Constantly force closing to restart. The wrap up was solely focused on giving sats away. New to Bitcoin so still in stacking phase, would be nice if they made it like Spotify’s wrapped to see what I listened to all year

Some annoying bugs, for example, the latest episodes section sometimes won’t update, and sometimes, it will stop playing when you lock the screen. These aren’t consistent bugs

I used to use Spotify but they seemed to always forget me and give trouble logging in. iOS podcasts never seemed that great, but after hearing about and trying Fountain I don’t listen anywhere else. Fun to get a few days for listening, and also to send some on to support my favorite shows. Just like Nostr… V4V is the way forward!

Absolutely love the Fountain app for listening to podcasts. I’ll never use any other app for this purpose ever again, Fountain is the best!

***UPDATE*** Latest update deleted all my podcasts. Awesome. ORIGINAL- Home Screen is stuck on Nostr login after update. Current podcast controls aren’t visible unless you search for that episode. Opening the app and restarting previous podcast stops after a few seconds. Have to force close, reopen, search for the same episode to get it to play. Searching for subscribed podcasts is annoying. I wanted to like this “off grid” app but the UI is terrible and it requires way too many extra clicks just to play a single episode.

I really wanted to love this app for what it stands for. Supporting the value for value through lightning network and integrating Nostr. However the continuous issues with bugs in the software and the inability for the support team (2+ months) to help in a timely manner has made me cancel my subscription and go back to Overcast. I really hope the app works through the issues. I will keep an eye on it and hope I can move back to it someday.

Opened app this morning to find it was reset to blank. All my subscriptions were gone. Great start to the day to find out I have to start over with my feed. Seeing what else is out there.

So far it’s okay, it would be nice if we can earn unlimited while listening to my favorite podcasts or listening to my favorite music. If there will be unlimited earning, I’ll change my rating to 5 star.
