Description

Pilfer from poets, bargain with bishops and serenade the local simpleton on your hapless quest for absolution. Four Last Things is a point-and-click adventure game made from Renaissance-era paintings.

It's kind of like if Monkey Island had been made in 16th century Flanders, by a time-travelling Monty Python fanboy...

***In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. God saw all that he had made, and it was good. Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

'Ooops,' said god, seeing he had created a fool. But before he was able to remedy his error, man spoke;

'No backsies!' he chirped, and scuttled off into the forest.***

Good but short

Bhsbduhuhbdcsuhbdc on

Surprisingly short for this type of game. I felt like it needed another chapter and was surprised when it abruptly ended. The world is interesting, the story is a good one and the puzzles are on the easier side but still satisfying.

Problem

On IPad Pro the guy won’t drink the beer outside the pub. Fix it please.

Amusing, but short

MissMarpole on

This game is unique for the Pythonesque art style, and humour, but in my mind it fell short of being laugh out loud funny. It will get a few smiles and chuckles out of you, but I think it could have been a lot funnier. There are a lot of characters you can briefly converse with, but they play no role in the game when they could have. The story is short and ends rather abruptly. I think there were a lot of missed opportunities that could have made this a great game.
