Yeah don’t think so bye bye
Works great with the new system the company installed. Was alerted and turned it off when my mother in law came into the house and didn’t know the new code
Really pleased with our new system and the app is straightforward and easy to use whether at home or away. Would definitely recommend.
When it works, the app is good enough to remotely alarm / disarm my alarm. Unfortunately it frequently disconnects from the panel for months on end and no amount of on/off or reinstalling of the app - even removing the fuse and resetting the control panel - will reconnect it. The only vague coincidence appears to be app software updates that fix the issue…and after a few months…when I remember to check it…it’s back online. App updates need to be significantly more frequent. 🥲
It’s the most costly app I use and to be honest, whilst it’s pretty stable, it does very little for the price. I would love to see it on my Apple Watch. Also as I’m registered Deaf it would be a great option to have any alarm showing on my watch and vibrating at the same time. What a selling point for the company to tap into the deaf community. We heating impaired tend to sleep without our heating aids in, which means if the alarm goes off we can’t hear it. Even a speaker right next to my bed wouldn’t work for me. Other than than it works OK.
App disappointing as it’s not intuitive, and when you explore you realise all the various view options don’t allow you to actually program partitions or change your alarm setup beyond what the installer setup for you originally. It’s basically is just a viewer and an on off switch to alarm settings. Bit clunky and generally disappointing. Doubly disappointing that you have to pay a substantial annual subscription for the app but still not get programming control of your alarm system. Perhaps developers are limited by the alarm hardware I inherited in the house purchase, and the only solution is to replace the entire system and app with a more modern alarm system..
So feedback given about a year ago, a thanks your feedback has been passed to the developer was given by a Cutomer support agent. Four months ago an update came out and none of my feedback incorporated. Mainly the app does not auto refresh and this countdown lower left last connected to panel 14sec ago. Is 14sec too late. Surely an update to force the app to update as soon as it is displayed on the phone would be a good update. Glad I have two keypads one at front door one upstairs because replying on this app would be like relying on a chocolate firepit. The majority of negative feedback surely tells you something. I am a tech savvy Avionics Engineer. This app build is not the worst but not the best. Improvement required. To display the wrong Set or unset alarm status, until you close and reopen the app is really technology from a decade ago. Please do actually pass on my feedback. Thank you.
My Security Alarm company recommended me to install the app two years ago. It’s been working fine. It is not the smoothest but it does the job. Lately I’ve been having issues with the app. The panel is not connected. So every morning we have the run downstairs to the panel to unset the alarm before it goes off. Of course the alarm would go off each time waking up others. I have no problem with my Internet and The app has been updated automatically on my phone.
App previously worked. Deleted and reinstalled on iPhone 6. Logged in no issue. Subscription in App Store states you are subscribed which I am. Freecontrol app however states manage and then it says subscribed and into the loop of app says not subscribed. While App Store shows my subscription is valid. So currently cannot use this app. Awaiting response from suppprt function on Risco website. Help Freecontrol ! Paid for, and I still can’t use it.
