Be careful when subscribing, because the app is full of technical glitches. I paid for the £0.99 subscription trial for 6 months, only for the app to suddenly log me out after two weeks and say that I am no longer a subscriber. Wrote to customer service, but received no reply. Bit the bullet six months later to pay for the £4.99 monthly subscription, only for the app to do the exact same thing two weeks later. Wrote to customer service, sharing a screenshot of my active subscription on my Apple ID, only to be told that no such accounts ever existed. Have lost £5.99 now without being able to access the app as advertised, because of technical glitches in their service.

Why landscape?

Setup an account. Downloaded app. Saw it is landscape only. Deleted app.

Good content but no portrait mode

Really like the snapshot of the news, although a little expensive it’s fine. However, why is there no portrait option for reading the articles on iPad? Especially when in landscape (the only option) there’s blank spaces either side that don’t get used. Essentially you’re reading in portrait anyway, so why not let us rotate.

Informative and mind opening Articles

I really can not get enough of these beautifully constructed articles that are injected with lots of intellectual fluids…

Fabulous articles.

S M Shoaib on

United Kingdom

I read at least an article or two every day. It is most definitely a great value for money. There were many instances when I loved reading but the one which was actually speaking my mind out was the article written by Jamima Kelly “ We should stop worshipping at the altar of convenience”. Amazing. Loved it. Wish I could write a winning review for her article but sadly couldn’t because my English is very poor in comparison to all the wonderful writers at FT.

An inexpensive way of accessing some of FTs articles

GilesCH on

United Kingdom

Not always the choice I’d have made, but the selected articles are nearly all of top quality - as one would expect of Britain’s best newspaper. The articles are very varied but of interest to a wide range of people, not those requiring detail of finance and business news. An inexpensive way of getting great journalism at much less cost than a full subscription to the paper.

Further Education

United Kingdom

I have read the FT edit for a year. I find it to be an education. I can not imagine starting the day without it now.

A daily digest of useful FT stuff

For those too busy to peruse the full FT, especially those with paper copies waiting on the doormat, every day, the FT Edit offers bite sized snippets

Good but could be better

WW2Today on

If the spoken version was read by real people - which the Economist does so well - this would so much better.
