Fuelpak FP4 FAQ
Is Fuelpak FP4 free?
Yes, Fuelpak FP4 is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Fuelpak FP4 legit?
⚠️ The Fuelpak FP4 app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I loved the FP3s. I recently bought a new used Harley and immediately went to buy another FP3. Found out they “upgraded” to an FP4. While it was in my cart I decided to 1st download the app to check out the difference. I noticed there are no maps for anything other than VH exhausts. No maps for hi flo air intakes. No maps for cams…. Did some research and went online to read reviews and found out that the new FP4s are pretty worthless and the “new” FP4 was due to a lawsuit which forced VH to minimize the features. DONT BUY ONE. YOU WILL BE DISSAPPONTED. I ended up paying $150 to have the bike tuned by a local shop instead.
Waste of money..
I really can’t believe that the problems with the App and tuner haven’t been solved yet, after all these updates , still a $450 paper weight ,
Exhaust brand choices aren’t there, many features do not work, and the ones that do are sporadic, I’ve been waiting for over 18 months for them to get their Act together, do not pair this piece of junk with your bike, just return it if you still can.
Terrible app and customer service
I bought this tuner with high hopes after having experience with the fp3. The app is horrible. It constantly disconnects which makes it basically worthless. There are many other issues that I don’t have time to write out. It did flash and tune the bike but you can pay someone 150 bucks to flash your ecm if needed. I was paying for the tune and all the features of the app and did not receive that. I also called customer service and they told me that’s just how it is and not much that can be done because the tuner is already paired with the bike. Do yourself a favor and save the 500 bucks. Go with dynojet or just have your ecm flashed.
Fast FXDL!
The FP4 tunes that were made at their facility with wide band oxygen sensors are great. I haven’t tried and don’t plan on doing the auto tune with my stock narrow band sensors. The FP4 completed my full stage one on my 2008 FXDLI and it is better in every way than factory. It is only for stage one tuning.
Not what they advertised
Besides a basic stage 1 these are useless. Pre configured maps. No fuel or ignition table to make adjustments. I work at a very well known tuning shop. We have a drawer full of Vance n Hines tuner because they cannot be adjusted properly. If you do a cam swap forget these tuners. For 17 and newer m8 motors use the techno research flash tuner or the Dynojet power vision. If you purchase a FP4 and fall for all the hype of them being the greatest tuner you will be let down. I see 400+ bikes per year being tuned. I’m not against Vance and Hines at all. If they worked the reviews would be better. They simply do not. Do not buy.
Disappointed
Bought Vance and Hines air cleaner. Looking into Vance and Hines full Exhaust system. Wanted to pair with the Vance and Hines FP4 for a complete Stage 1 fully using Vance and Hines products only. Got the FP4 today. Went on to plug it onto my bike. Followed the instructions to update the firmware and it won’t update. The screen will freeze at “Preparing for install” nothing happens. Feeling disappointed at this point for spending money on something that I’m now worried will mess up my bike.
Do not buy!!
I had the FP3 and loved it. Moved to a newer street glide and this app and tuner is no good. No where near as hat the FP3 was capable of. Now I’m out almost $500 on a paper weight!
Disappointing
The app is disappointing. Just some of the issues;
Doesn’t remember your prior gauge settings. You need to reset every time you open the app. And it’s hard to read. With small numbers and poor contrast with black and red. The dial is too sensitive as well, often landing on the wrong parameter. The maintenance icon is also worthless. It only clears trouble codes, that it? No oil pressure reading either? There is no throttle sensitivity setting. The app also looses connection way to often. With no way to reconnect automatically. FP3 was so much more user friendly..
Thanks.
Latest Update
Made it worse drops bluetooth constantly
Aurotune is useless had a FP3 worked fine
I would love to return it bit we know how that goes…….
Bluetooth Connection via iOS ( iPhone)
Very disappointed with this device at this point! The FP4 costs a bit of money; to get nothing fully working is ridiculous.
People with Androids that I know, have not had any connection troubles.
So, why can you update the iOS app?
