the best fitness app I've tried so far
I love the feature of the follow along training, really slows me down and makes me focus on whats ahead. I also especially enjoy the recipes. What is missing imo are two things: I want to see what weight I logged for the specific exercise last time instead of having to go back and look. Further, I would really enjoy a shopping list for the ingredients needed, instead of having to open every single one and then writing it down, which for a week of recipes is just too tedious. Lastly, a feature that lets me track my measurements on a monthly ish basis would be great. I am thinking waist hips thigh biceps or something along the lines.
The app definitely helps me to be more active and eat healthier but I miss some features: - I would like to have a program with mixed home workout and gym session during a week - I can’t find a list of my favourite recipes - I miss audio explanations and music during the workouts . . . Please contact me on Insta, if you want more feedback on the features - I’m a UI/UX designer: @laureleye_
It would be great if there was a filter for vegetarian/vegan meals! And if you could flexibly change the days of your workouts/number of workouts per week… life does not always go as planned ;)
The app is good, but unfortunately, it feels unfinished. Firstly, there is no visualization showing which muscle group is engaged during each exercise. Secondly, the workouts lack warm-up and cool-down routines. And, in my opinion, the biggest drawback is that the app doesn’t explain the proper technique for the exercises, even though we all know that the effectiveness of any exercise depends on performing it with the correct technique.
Excellent
I really love training with gainsbybrains because it’s well structured, fun and effective!
I absolutly love the App. I‘ve never stick so consitenly to a trainingsplan. And the recipes are so yummy and so easy. You notice I really love everything about the App.
Previously I bought 2 of Sophie’s online programs and I loved them. I love her approach to the trainings and to weightlifting in general, and find that it suits me perfectly. It’s clear that it has been put so much work, effort and love in the process of building the app.
I am using the app since almost one year now. The workouts are professional and I am doing the Hybrid Programm currently. Before I did Hourglass. Most of the meals are good (but I am not sure if I need a recipe for boiled eggs?) and tasty. Overall I can see that the app improved and some bugs were fixed. What I wish: when choosing a program and the training days in advance, I can only train so many days per week as I chose before and not choose one more workout day. I need to do that individually and pick a workout from the plan. And when I finished hourglass, I hoped for a little „you did it, congrats!“ or something similar, but nothing came. Would I recommend the app? Yes I would.
