Galaxy Genome is an open world sci-fi space simulator.
You'll be able to upgrade your ship and customize every component as you hunt, explore, fight, mine, smuggle, trade and survive in the cutthroat galaxy. Follow the main story or do side missions.
This game gives you the ability to feel real space exploration. The entirety of the Milky Way re-created at its full galactic proportions.
At the beginning of the game you are a pilot of a small ship. Financial struggle forces you to start transporting contraband. Certainly, it will lead to you being in trouble with the law someday. But at some point in your life you are forced to make a deal with the authorities of the system. And that is when your dangerous space adventure begins.
Game Features:
- Free-form play allows everyone to choose their own path, becoming an angry pirate, a peaceful trader, an explorer, a bounty hunter, or a mix between these roles.
- More than 30 different and customizable ships.
- The game has a vibrant story and side quests.
- Surface vehicles to explore planets.
- No classes or skill levels, strength is decided by ship equipment and player skill.
- The vast 1:1 scale Milky Way galaxy is based on real scientific principles. Around 2 billion star systems.

Galaxy Genome FAQ
Is Galaxy Genome free?
Galaxy Genome is not free (it costs 3.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Galaxy Genome legit?
🤔 The Galaxy Genome app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
For a small independent development team, the game is well worth the small amount asked. If you are a fan of sandbox space games then this is a great choice.
I have already put at least 200 hours in and still go back to play. The developer is also active and gives feedback to player concerns/suggestions which is very refreshing.
Elite dangerous... LOL
Really? How low can you ppl go? Have you seen the cpu power on the new ipad pro ? And what about the graphs available on games in the Arcade? This game reminds my of my youth... on an ATARI, or the original NES. At best is a 2D squashed and botched Elite dangerous wanna be with reminescent game options and items. Game play (controls) is horrible, music is reducing my mental capacity, graphics bring me back to 1995. If you never played the pc version, you will erase this game in the first 10 min. Tutorial is lacking and buggy. Game crashes 50% of the time when trying to load a manual saved game. The other 50% of crashes are random, with nothing special or particular to link the fatal crash to.
I am giving a second star because the dev made a good effort in writing his code lines so compact that he got everything in just 111 Mb of space. That is really impressive and I can appreciate !!
Elite dangerous... thats so funny!
Best galaxy in App store
Congrats devs, great game. Please work on the tutorial, but other than that excellent job
Tutorial is buggy
Can’t warp jump. Says I have to turn off canons. I’ve tried jumping with them off, tried with them on, tried multiple times, but still not able to jump.
Elite Dangerous in 2D AND portable
The game is amazing. Graphics are simple clean and beautiful and not too pixelated.
And the dev just added controller support which makes the game even more playable.
Really great job. And thank you!
Awesome!
This game is a lot of fun and like a 2D version of elite dangerous but with a main story. Exploration is a lot of fun as well and thanks for the developer for the updates! Well worth it!
2D Elite Dangerous
This is basically Elite Dangerous on mobile. The combat is sound, exploration is excellent, and the mercantile/quest system is robust. If you’ve ever played ED you will fall into this games groove with ease.
If you plan on running a dedicated explorer with no shielding and no weapons save often. You can get a great jump range this way, but there are obvious drawbacks. Run into an alien with no way to defend yourself and you’re gonna have a bad time.
Combat you need to ensure you pay attention to your opponents ship, and combat ranking. If you punch above your weight class you’re gonna have a bad time.
If you’re running mercantile quests and you get held up for your cargo you have 3 options. Fight, run or die. Your best chance is if you’re in a system with a station, just gun it to the station, lucky for you interdiction isn’t a thing in system. If you die you automatically fail your missions. If you try to fight and you punch above your weight class you’re gonna have a bad time.
Remember, never french fry when you should pizza, or you’re gonna have a bad time.
Explore HIP 18502 - this is Frontier Elite II but better
Take your fully equipped Falcon with a mining laser, spectrum analyzer, and planet scanner and explore space to seek out the elusive earth like planet.
Quite an experience exploring space this way. Take a tourist along the way, who will pay you serious cash, and mine asteroids for some diamonds too. Come home to Sol to collect your money to fund your other travels.
If you are the mercenary type, go ahead and knock yourself out.
Or you can play through the storyline. All open for you to choose.
GREAT POTENTIAL
The foundation there… it has the potential to be a GREAT GAME…. So many planets to explore… you have entire GALAXY. You can upgrade your ship.
You can explore THE GALAXY TO MAKE MONEY.. a really cool idea.. sounds fun. And there are around a dozen waypoints on the galaxy map you can travel to …
BUT PROBLEM.besides that dozen points on the map….. the GALAXY IS EMPTY. .so you explore to make money ….. but it becomes Very tedious and monotonous.. as ……. Every solar system it’s exactly the same thing. You jump in scan for a handful of different kinds of planets then move to next solar system… besides scanning for planets…….. and the extremely rare alien robot ship…………… there’s literally nothing. . There’s nothing out there every solar system is empty… besides that dozen waypoints on galaxy map( which is scattered around 1 half of the galaxy) … there is NO MOTIVATION, OF ANY KIND TO explore the second half of the galaxy because THERES NOTHING TO FIND, NOTHING TO DO, NOTHING TO SEE THATS DIFFERENT then what your all ready doing. So you’ll find your self really only exploring close to the waypoints to make money and increase reputation. . As again there is no motivation to really explore any further…
.. it’s a good game.. it really is . GREAT POTENTIAL. Space combat is fun.. the main story is short but good…. The variety of ships you can get it cool and you can upgrade them which is AWSOME. I REALLY LOVE THE CONCEPT .
Conclusion. Great concept, great game mechanics , easy to learn. wonderful potential, the developers literally have the entire galaxy to add ideas. But again the problem is they have the GALAXY but almost nothing in it lol. IDEAS—- maybe add more alien races ,Ancient civilizations and or there ruins .in space or on planets to find, alien races you can say through reputation or trading you can befriend or make hostile, ancient Dyson spheres …. Kinda like Star Trek or Star gate . Just stuff to motivate the player to ACTUALLY EXPLORE the galaxy … maybe even the ability to eventually continue the main story - would be neat to see say your actions effect the story like mass effect, or at the very least my actions effect my relationship with the main npc character of the main story. Or even add the ability to eventuality concern my own territory, and fight other factions.

Is there a way to see how many total light years we have traveled while playing?
