I am in Australia and can only use the GBNews app to watch my favourite presenters. I find this a great channel to watch and would just leaving it on all day if I had the streaming on TV. While visiting relations in UK I noticed they do just that let GBNews run all day while they are in and jobbing around the house doing chores. Brilliant please don’t change never go WOKE!
You can’t favourite your Presenters like Mark Styne, Dan Wooton and Neil Oliver who are the only ones I respect. You can’t search for subject or topic matter and you continually have to go through long advertisements plugging other presenters or GB News. I was already sold now I will delete and go back to YouTube where it’s easier to find the guys I love to watch.
I have been waiting a long time for video content to be available via Apple TV and the App Store for a real British broadcaster, whilst watching from overseas. The apps themselves obviously could be a bit better, however considering this is the first release, they are extremely good quality and do the job from a functional perspective. In terms of the content itself, it’s refreshing that the news readers actually tell you their own opinions rather than tricking people into thinking they are unbiased by making out their statements to be dry facts, when in reality the are carefully selecting the information thy disclose. It’s good to know where the presenters stand, and then have them find people that disagree, in a sensible and straight forward debate. Even if you disagree with the presenter, they always have people on giving the other side of the story. You won’t get that kind of things happening on the bbc - they will simply just not cover a topic or only cover half of it, creating a debate within one side of the debate, to try to make it seem balanced. Hope the news station is a success. One tip for the founders is to have targeted ads based on country - I am sure Google or apple offer some kind of app plug in for that.
