How much does Gentler Streak cost?
Gentler Streak has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 167.10 kr.
Super app, but too expensive. Original price of a purchase costs me 2% of my annual income. Just think that in the course of a year I can't buy more than 50 things. It's an app. that is only for rich people. We talkk about my net income. Money is also needed for clothes, food, medicine and other necessities. It is shot COMPLETELY outside the target price-wise. I was happy with the app during the trial period but will never be able to afford it.
For meget information for lidt fakta
Aner ikke hvad denne app bidrager med som andre meget billiger apps ikke gør meget bedrer. Måtte slette den da den dræner min telefon for strøm (SE2022)
Skuffet.
It could be better…
Nice app, however I wish during the workout, they could shown steps/cadence or both, instead of showing useless zone. Also the way to end a workout isn’t very practical, i.e a single tap (instead of keep pressing) on the screen, would be more practical !
Room for improvement
1. The notes you can add to a workout don’t provide enough space. For weight lifting, I like to type out the exercises I did with sets, reps, weight, rest time. I can’t fit one of my workouts into the length that the notes are limited to. 2. App doesn’t show post-workout heart rate recovery. It writes that data to the Apple Watch fitness app, but gentler streak doesn’t show it in their app. 3. For mile splits, app doesn’t show power in W for each mile like the Apple Watch fitness app does. Hard to pay for a subscription service and have less features in some areas than the native Apple fitness app.
Worth the Paid Subscription
I don’t pay for many apps but this is one I’ll never cancel. I have been working on my fitness for years and had a hard time with consistency. Some weeks I’d overdo it, some weeks I’d get discouraged, etc. I like the suggested activities and being able to track my stats weekly/monthly/yearly. It keeps me motivated. Also, the mascot is adorable and the UI is great.
Have to have an Apple Watch to use app.
The app is otherwise fine but, you have to have an Apple Watch to use it. I don’t have one, and I can’t see my steps like I would with other apps. Gentler does help me keep being active because I have to log in the app what exercise I did. Example: today I did an hour and 32 minute bike ride, and it made me type what time I started, what time I ended, and what type of exercise I did, unlike most apps which automatically log your exercise.
Hi
Ho
Just one thing...
There is a weakness in this app that the Apple Fitness app doesn't have. If I've forgotten to end a workout, walk or whatever, it's totally oblivious. Yesterday I used the app toward the end of the day, didn't stop the app before I took my watch off & went to bed. In the morning all my apps - Gentler Streak, Apple Fitness, Apple Health - showed a 9 hour long but very short walk. I'm used to my fitness app being aware that I've stopped moving & alerting me: this seems like a simple feature, no reason for such a highly-rated app to lack it. And to keep logging activity on an Apple Watch that's in Nightstand Mode? That's really silly. At least it was a chance to find out how to delete invalid data, which is easy enough, but shouldn't such an elaborate app include such a basic feature??
Advertising in a paid app?
I actually enjoy this app overall, but one of the latest updates has added a “please sign up for our newsletter” ad to the main screen, with no apparent way to remove it without signing up for the newsletter. Given that I’m already a paid subscriber, that’s a pretty gross addition—I get enough spam from free services, I don’t need it from paid ones as well.
Great, but…
I really wish it took into account daily steps. Was in a different state for a work conference and racked up above average steps every day for a week - because of no recorded workouts, my activity path has sunk & is a total bummer. Maybe even just the option to view with and without could help - seeing the dots trend to nothing is demotivating if anything.
