Get It Done San Diego Reviews

Why doesn’t app work in La Mesa and Spring Valley ca

Alexei N on

I was able to to use this app in the past. It doesn’t let you move on to pinpoint location. Ridiculous. We have illegal parking and nothing can be done.

Unable to enter in an address or delete a submitted report

Very meh UX overall. Have to use some terrible auto location thing that doesn’t do the best… an option to manually put in an address works. As has been requested for years by many reviewers. Also would be really nice to be about to delete a report you submitted yourself, if by chance it is no longer an issue or if you need to add, fix a typo etc etc. A couple of basic things this app just can’t do.

Surprisingly effective & polished

Manuscript Replica on

I’ve only reported pot holes and graffiti—a task the app makes incredibly convenient. It’s not quite frictionless, and text entry fields in the UI are really dated, but otherwise much better than filling a form out on some obscure city website, drafting an email or god forbid, having to call someone. Biggest gripe with the app: it doesn’t support the iOS swipe to go back gesture. That left side drawer belongs in a hamburger menu. If any decision makers are reading this, look up Apple’s “Human Interface Guidelines” for best design practices.

Great app, great results

Really impressed with the UI of the app, but even more so that submissions are addressed or at least responded to in a super timely manner.

No way to delete certain reports

meganannika on

United States

There should be an option to delete a submitted report regardless of type. I was directed to an online form regarding missed recycling pickup and was instructed to add my exact address. It is now publicly out there on the report feed and I have no way to delete it other than emailing, which I did, but received an automated response that due to a high volume of requests that I may not receive a reply. Terrible.

The Placebo App of Reporting Crimes

negativescythe on

United States

This is potentially the worst Law Enforcement Crime Reporting style app in the entire country of the United States. You could submit an attempted murder on there and no one would pay attention to it for even a second. Nothing gets resolved, no one gets punished, crime continues, and reports get auto closed. Thanks SDPD for creating an app where people can file crime reports and receive ZERO help. Huge.

Better than waiting on hold

farosworld on

United States

Calling in takes up expensive resources for the city. This app isn’t perfect but it gets the job done (no pun intended) and it’s fast and easy to use. Wish response times were faster especially since the police department takes up all the budget but what can you expect.

Laughable

JimSDCA on

This is comically worthless and a fine example of the City’s never ending incompetence. They will not do the required work. They will not solve the problem. But they will send you a triumphant email advising that your issue has been resolved and the case is closed. That’s one way to report good numbers to your superiors, huh? We are all familiar with reputation of City workers. Every ounce of that reputation is earned.

Totally useless

alobosk on

United States

This is just a front to play make-believe with taxpayer money. Application is useless. A total disservice. You can report whatever it is as many times as you can, and the worthless bots on the other side will close reports without moving a finger. Total waste of our hard-earned money. This government needs to be replaced in the next election.
