...not working...again! Subscription paid up but I can't download what I have paid for! today's edition isn't downloading...(15 Sep 2017) and I have noticed fewer back editions are showing now. Come on...get it together for heaven's sake. Also, if I read it in portrait and then change to landscape it won't enlarge...why is that? WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO READ THESE. I get the impression no one does.
At first it worked well on my 2 iPads, it never worked on my iPhone. Paid for a month subscription, half way through now I can no longer download the news. I have uninstalled the app, reinstalled, rebooted and the problem stays. Disappointed.
I cannot agree more with previous negative reviews. Absolutely frustrating. Request for subscription renewal is a mad loop, even when I am notified that I have an active subscription and corresponding payment invoice. Totally unprofessional. Requires fixing NOW!! Patético 2 Here I am again with the same problem : mad loop requesting payment of subscription but not allowing payment because "already subscribed" and "active subscription". Be professional. Listen to your clients. Correct this frustrating problem. JUST DO IT!!!!!!!
Agree with the previous comments . . . . this app is always suggesting the subscriber hadn't paid, always asking it's customer to log in to The App Store to re-subscribe when there's still paid-up time. This becomes a pain in the neck after a while and it's not cheap. Worst of all, the default subscription is set to 'auto-renew' and it's damned difficult to find out where in the bowels of the App Store to change thus to manual.
I was charged for two months £14.99! The app is telling me "not subscribed" but I have been charged. This is on both iPad and iPhone. Fix it please Thanks
This is a good application although there are two things which I am disappointed with. The first one is that although in the past the online copy was always available for downloading the previous night or in the early hours of the day of publication of the paper copy. Nowadays I have noticed that it is becoming increasing common not to be able to download the Gibraltar Chronicle the night before or during the early hours but late during the day of the physical publication of the paper. copy. Secondly I wish the application had the ability to rotate. Other than these two things the application is excellent and priced adequately.
Good to see the Gibraltar Chronicle digitally but the offer of 50% off for the digital version is misleading as the printed version costs £1 x 6 = £6 for a week so 50% off should be £3 and not the quoted £4.99 that a week of digital Chronicles cost. Trading standards should look into this as the full digital price is not quoted and digital versions are normally cheaper and environmentally friendly by saving on paper, than printed versions and include interactive content. Otherwise not bad but would like to see interactive content for the price. Perhaps some video clips and sound bites of public functions, and sports material.
