Main features:

Logbook

Glucose and ß-ketone values can be stored and sorted by time and date.
Correct monitoring and therapeutic control of people with diabetes has to take into account levels of β-hydroxybutyrate (β-OHB) - the major ketone body accumulated in blood, as well as hyperglycaemia. DKA can occur in patients with Type 1 diabetes (T1D) as the initial event of the pathology, or at any time after diagnosis, as the result of insulin deficiency. All the data are automatically organized in a chart with statistical analysis.

Charts

All the results and trends can be organized and displayed in graphic format where any out-of-range results (hyper or hypoglycaemia) are shown in different colors.

Type

For each result the user can enter comments concerning sports, medication or diet.

Personalization

The software can be customized to any user needs thanks to a simple setup utility. Users can also set the glycaemic acceptability range according to their personal glycaemic profile.

E-Mail

The user can send the results and the associated information directly to his/her healthcare professional by e-mail.

Never works

cjrolfe on

I’ve being trying for ages to get NFC working with my iPhone, which support says should work, but never has. Shame 😔

Terrible meter

AP~418 on

With all the advancements in diabetes technology, it’ incredible someone can produce garbage like this. Even worse some deal with the NHS means I’m lumbered with this software and metre, and my tax money has been wasted. Phone sync works about 10% of the time, there’s barely any trend spotting. Next appointment with GP will be discussing alternatives.

Too big, no Built-in bluetooth, NFC unreliable

Snowbaby1 on

I was using a agamatrix bluetooth meter which was small, compact and extremely reliable connection with iPad Pro and iPhone data was shared between devices via agamatrix account. My GP practice recently moved me to a GlucoFix Tech GK device whoch is bulky in comparison. The only in-built wireless communication is NFC which is not compatible with Apple iPad Pro where I usually track my blood glucose and insulin dosage. When used with my iPhone, NFC transfers data only once in ten attempts, and does not share that data with the ipad via the web account. The device and the app are not fit for purpose, and I have reverted back to using only my trusted agamatrix after only 1-day of using both. Please make the size much smaller, and implement built in low power bluetooth to provide much more reliable connection to modern phones and tablets - the app needs a lot of work too. Poor effort guys.

Easy to use app

Skukuza on

This app is very easy to use and connects seamlessly via NFC to my Glucomen Areo 2k. Some form of graph or trend would be an useful, but if all you need is to track your levels and add notes it does the job well.

Aaaaarrrggghhhhhh

Does this work with iphone 14 pro, i cant even get past the setup

Never never works!

qwerfc222 on

Just a load of rubbish, never works and is overly difficult to work

App thinks time ended on July 20 2021

mzw_actual on

Any readings recorded after July 20, appear in the diary. Fine so far. However the app will not show them on the email page, making sending readings to your doctor harder, nor will the readings appear in the graph page. Also readings taken after July 20 do not get transferred to Apple Health. Verified on two different iPhone running different versions of ios.

Useless

macshimi on

You can’t add data to the red boxes in setup

Update issues

Somercotes2000 on

Since the last update The App closes when you enter anything I cannot set the insulin I use. I now have to search through the whole list The date keeps changing There is no option to delete readings no longer needed. It has put spurious readings in when the date has changed and these stay there and skew my average readings.

Wrong Year

kewl1uk on

In results the day and month are correct but the year shows 2025 when it should be 2021. There does not appear to be a way to set the year in the meter nor in the app. Glucomen Areo, iPhone SE 2.
