Goodpods - Podcast Player

Let me make it clear that I really like this app. The design is beautiful and minimalistic without being boring, and it works really well. It’s not invasive with advertisements, and it’s easy to search and do what you need to do. But it does have one problem: It refuses to keep podcast episodes in the order in which you sorted them. This means that your queue does not automatically go to the next episode in the podcast. It also means that when you hit “back” in order to pick the next episode of the podcast, you instead have to spend time resorting it away from best episodes and newest episodes, then scrolling, to find your place again. This may not sound like a big deal, but it got incredibly annoying after the first six times. Without a doubt, I would give it five stars if it didn’t have this particular annoying behavior. Here’s to hoping they fix this in the future.

If you love listening to podcasts, or even just want to explore them. This is the app for you. They have a great searchable list of podcasts, and they even allow podcasters and listeners to interact with another. Definitely check out this app, and your favorite podcast on it.

For those not wanting to use Apple Podcasts or Spotify to listen to your favorite podcasts, this is the way. Plus the GoodPods community is top notch!

I just hope you guys get the users! I love having a comment section for individual episodes and a “top episodes” section, but these features don’t go to their full potential for the smaller podcasts who have majority of their listeners on Spotify or Apple… I hope you guys can win people over I really do! I love that on Goodpods I can connect with some of my favorite podcasters and have a much more connected experience with their show when I leave a review. This app really encourages connections between listeners and hosts, listeners and listeners, and hosts and hosts!

I love the idea of podcast sharing and commenting. The app continues to improve and works really well. They recently fixed an issue where it now plays as expected when I connect to my car’s Bluetooth without having to unlock my phone! It was a small thing but enough to annoy me when it didn’t work. Also the improvements with buffering help me skip to the parts I want to hear!

I absolutely love this app! I’ve become obsessed with podcasts lately and being able to rate each episode and make comments is amazing! I’m so excited to explore more of the app.
