Gospel Library Reviews

Playlists should play the playlist

Great app, but if you click on a speaker to see their talks after the first talk it starts playing talks in that session of conference instead of playing their next talk in the list. It should allow you to sort by the date the talk was given and play in that order.

The Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is contained in this app

Elder Clawson on

United States

This app holds the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. It holds the scriptures (Bible & Book of Mormon among others), teachings of living prophets, plus many more things that you can’t possibly read all that is contained on this app. It is a really good app and the people at Church Headquarters continue working on it to fix the bugs and issues. Overall a really good app

Very concerning

United States

This app is full of racism and sexism and homophobia. It also has an essay defending and giving sly dishonest appologetics for Joseph smith marrying a girl “several months shy of her 15th birthday”

Glitch

The app has been great but after the last update it no longer keeps my different screens. They say it is the one I left off on but when I tap it, it goes to the home page and I have to go to the library to get back to the scripture or talk I was reading. Please fix. It is so frustrating.

Audio speed selection needs work

CE832 on

United States

There needs to be more audio speed options. The scriptures need to be pondered, but to only have a .75 speed option is too slow. We need .9, .85, and .8 options.

Not Useable

I just want an all where I can search within the standard works and not have it cluttered with everything else.

Just Some Suggestions

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ and use this app daily. 1. On the Church website you are able to have multiple separate copies for markings. I think this would be a very cool tool to add to studying. I have found that overtime marking your scripture makes it to hard to tell what is important. If there were multiple versions the possibilities for marking are way wider. 2. Tagging is really cool as well but I have found there are to many terms that I want to mark. I think that you should add a file to tags. So you can file tags into different sub-categories. For example if your marking scriptures about temples and then can have a sub-category for ordinances, covenants and other things. Then below ordained you can add another category for the different types of ordinances. It would make study and referring to and finding scriptures much easier. 3. This would be a very minor change but the home screen is kinda annoying. Everything is to blocky. You have to scroll down way too far to find anything. It should be very compact and have symbols or buttons that everybody can know what it’s referring to. Kinda like an apple Home Screen. All the apps are there you can organize how it is. Yall have made a more concerted effort to do that but the minor change is the blockiness. Needs to be more compact. Along the lines of the home screen I think you should also have the ability to start in the library. 4. I’m not sure if you’re able to do this but I think it would be cool to have the talks of all general conferences and not just to 1971. On top of that apostles also give talks to BYU students and other things that might as well be conference talks. So, I think they should be added to the app. Overall, love the work that’s being from on the app. I have seen major improvements from what it was originally. Keep up the good work.

Not again

Gosh darn it ugh on

United States

I never write reviews, but then again I’m never pigeonholed into using a completely dysfunctional app. I’m writing this as I should be preparing my lesson. Unfortunately the app contains all the manuals that I need to review and none will load. Trying to update and uninstall/reinstall the app now. It also keeps kicking me out whenever I try to listen to scriptures. Guess I really do need to be in the book rather than on my phone. Finally (for now) the church’s search features are AWFUL online and in this app. I can never find what I’m looking for with a simple and specific search term.
