Bugs
I’ve used this app for years but this app has had this bug for a few months now with no sign of going away so when I open the app to where I was reading a few hours ago it just shows a blank screen and I can’t get anywhere unless I close the app and open it back up again. It’s inconvenient when trying to find something quickly. It happens often
Dropped the ball
Makes you log in every time you open the app. Crashes. Really difficult to use since the most recent updates.
Bug issues …
Latest update of Gospel Library appears to have issues with the save bookmark button, Freezes when Try to bookmark even won’t allow to go to Home Screen, only option then is to come out of the app, though doesn’t get Rid of the freeze bookmark problem something that Needs sorting perhaps !!!
Seriously password user name
I not member of your church I don’t fit in but I always like reading your scriptures now I need a membership user name and password I feel a right outcasts. I kept trying click the thing off but it kept popping up asking user name and password. I am a Christian that doesn’t go church due to my personal special needs which find it better solidarity studying god’s words. This app had been useful for ages at home. Now setting changed made it impossible for me to use. Jesus never closes doors on other sheep I am from another sheep.
Such an amazing resource!
So handy having everything all in one place... scriptures, talks, videos, stuff for kids! I use it daily.
Great features poorly implemented
I’ve used this app for many years and have found it a real blessing compared to using traditional paper based scriptures and manuals. Being able to create notebooks while studying the scriptures has transformed my ability to learn, recall and look up relevant scriptures when preparing talks or lessons.
However it disappointing to see how consistently buggy the app is, frequently needing me to do a hard reset to get menus and notes to appear properly. I like to use dark mode which seems to cause even more problems with menus etc. I wish the development team would put more effort into testing as the bugs are quite easy to find.
It is also disappointing to see the changes made recently to the layout and navigation of the app. It is much more confusing now and a step backwards from how clear and simple it used to be.
Great app, shame about the development, testing and support.
Why?
You have made my Gospel Library stop working!!!
Storage
The gospel library is a great app the I use all the time it’s especially helpful for reading your scriptures around the place. I read mine on the train to school which is easy as I don’t need to carry around a book. There is just a problem that it doesn’t let me delete downloaded content like videos or magazines ( where you have to download all 12 of the new eras if you click on one year) this is a problem that would be great if it could be fixed as it is taking up all my storage.
A great source of learning! This is a wonderful app full of great information an knowledge.
Even if you’re not a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints, you can learn about our Saviour from the Old Testament as well as the New Testament, and of course there is the Book If Mormon; another Testament of Jesus Christ.
The app has been very well laid out, with easy access to videos, music, talks and reading material. The Bible content is not cluttered, but it is very clean and easy to read. You can change the font layout and the language, add notes, share verses, search for meanings and highlight verses.
Not working since last update
Since the last update (5.10.0) Gospel Library will not open in my iPad Pro. The splash screen with the Saviour icon appears, remains for several seconds, then the app crashes and disappears completely. Same thing when opening from the App Store. I have used Library every day since it was first introduced without difficulty. My first disappointment. I am reluctant to delete the app and reinstall in case I lose my very extensive markings and annotations.
