GPS Diagnostic:Prueba Satélite

This is quite an achievement from the developer as I’ve never seen any other app that can get you satélite data and signal strength *from individual satellite feeds*. Very useful to debug errors of location from Apple Maps or Google Maps. A great surprise was how it was able to tell me that when connecting to my CarPlay unit the phone switched to the car’s internal GPS to get my position. Bar went full up on several satélites while the phone by itself didn’t get gps reception.

Now I know why navigation says to turn in 50 feet after I was supposed to have turned!

I successfully used this app to confirm the quality of the reception of satellite data. Months later I find myself in Japan on the Shinkansen “bullet” train wondering how fast we are traveling. This app provided the answer. In case you are wondering, we were traveling about ~275 km/hr!
