I really loved this service and I recommended them to everyone I know. I even used them for setting up new clients. If you don’t have to make changes on how your billing is done you will be happy with this service. But if you are like me and made the mistake of annual billing you will very disappointed. Why? Because when you try to switch to monthly billing your account has to be deleted and you lose all your call history and sms registration filing. I have never encountered such a thing in billing and account maintenance.

Grasshopper like any other virtual us based communication system has no ability to exclude canadian businesses from having to register to money grab 10DLC SMS registration provess which is so slow and can typically take upto 30 business days. Meaning you are without texting ability for your business due to blocks put in place for US. CANADA does not have these regulation to register for sms but still being pushed to do these by these companies as they do not want to have a separate policy to exclude business that do not have this applicable. Moreoever they give you beyond hard time to getting refund on service not used for example annual premium.

I love the messaging but find the lag when talking a bit irritating.

Finally, a complex system that is so fun and easy to use.

Cannot make outgoing calls on a Telus device. It does not share messages between desktop and phone so all the meta data is spread across devices. Support unable to solve these problems. Bad service. Avoid. Especially if using Telus. I also have seen account settings change on their own on more then one occasion. Looking for alternate provider. My experience was bad enough I would go far enough to say they are a scam that does not deliver on what they offer.

I use this app for work and many days I have to end up using my personal line instead as it fails to connect the calls. A lot of times when I first use the app the first few phone calls are shotty and disoriented. The app is a great idea but I am constantly checking for updates to fix this issue and haven’t seen an update since I have begun using it sadly.

Your iOS app is really slow. While your desktop app couldn’t search phone number, neither showing ALL call history.

This company does not fully disclose all their charges until you submit your full payment and only then can you see these charges in the invoice sent to your account. The invoice they email you shows a lower amount. Then after a refund is requested they delay processing so if you are affected by an exchange rate the refund amount is possibly lower than what they charged. Hands down worst company ever!!! Do not use!!!!
