Thanks for the vote
How much does GroupMe cost?
GroupMe has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 27.99 R.
I had to get the app for communication for a specific event. I don't like this app because the notifications never go away although I have went into the app and opened the messages. I have tried to see if I click on the notification when it pops up. But the red number that says how many notifications there are is never going away. It really annoys me.
Pathetic!!!
Most pathetic excuse for an IM service I have ever come across!! Downloaded the app 3 weeks ago!! Still haven't received an activation pin after numerous attempts to register my number n haven't had any response from customer care either!!
Definitely gets my vote for biggest failed attempt at launching an app..
It’s pretty good
I like group me a lot, but there is one feature I wish it had… I wish I could repeat events. Because my church has a pot luck every month and it’s at the same place, same time, same everything. I just wish it could repeat. Other than that it’s great.
Unusable
I used to use GroupMe for group projects and work all the time but over the last year it’s been unstable and downright unusable where I couldn’t even open conversations. Had to download another platform for work team chats. Fix the bugs!
Needs more authentication methods
My phone was stolen and I got a new number. I can’t get in without the code sent to a number I no longer have. My new number is attached to someone else’s GroupMe account. More options please, groupme. People’s phone numbers change and I just wasted a ton of time trying to get info I need for my kids sports schedule
Profile
My profile picture WILL NOT CHANGE. Why is is this such an issue? It’s a simple thing that should be so easy. But no matter what I do my profile picture will not update.
Needs to get fraudelent activity under control
GroupMe gets the job done as a group chat platform, especially in college for clubs and such, but the constant spam and fraudulent activity is SO! FRUSTRATING! Just about every GroupMe I’m in has scammers active in it talking about free Sabrina Carpenter tickets on a daily basis, even after I’ve reported them many times now. Why is controlling this so hard???
What happened?
GroupMe used to be our go-to group chat app for years—reliable, simple, and easy to use. But ever since the recent update that added AI features, the app has become incredibly buggy and almost unusable. The new interface is cluttered, and the glitches make it difficult to communicate effectively with my groups. Please, GroupMe, either revert to the old user interface or focus on making the app less buggy. I rely on this app for a lot of group chats, and it’s really disappointing to see how bad these recent updates have been.
Use to be good, now it’s slow and glitchy
I’ve used group me for years.. for whatever reason now when you use it, it is extremely slow and doesn’t respond when you click on your chats and has a lag time. Please fix!!!
It was great - Stop ruining it!
I’ve used this app for years and it has been great. However, gradually the location feature has been getting worse and worse. When I set up an event, I shouldn’t need to share my device’s location to input the address of the event. Also, I should be able to enter a custom name (like “my house”) then provide the address. This was easy in older android versions.
