Description

The hit mental health game series The Guardians is back with the all new Paradise Island!
Collect pets, train their mental health skills, and do real life adventures to help them save their island from catastrophe! It's up to you to save the day by managing your pets and sending them on missions, all while using your resources wisely to level up their skills. Furthermore, every day you'll be tasked to go on your own real life adventures and practice your own mental health skills that help fight depression, just like your pets! Together, you and your pets will gain the skills you need to save the island and to live a happier, healthier life.
Using the same engaging techniques as our first game, Paradise Island helps encourage you to do healthy and beneficial real world activities that help with depression, and we make sure you feel rewarded for them. And don't forget the brand new minigame that has you tossing your pets freely into the air to collect as much fruit as you can! The Guardians has already helped thousands of people feel better (as reported in-game), and now Paradise Island is here to give a fresh new twist on the formula!

Inspiring and fun

I’m not much of a game player, but I played this to the end. It was fun, often made me smile, and also helped me do some new things IRL that were good to do. I highly recommend playing.

Really frustrating

I was so looking forward to using this app to help me get unstuck. For an app designed by psychologists I was shocked to see how user unfriendly it is. I set up an adventure, I completed it but couldn’t find the place to input my success nor do the reflection. I tried again. Nope. It’s been 3 days since I started, I completed 2 tasks, but there’s no dashboard or place to show the completion. Lots of words. No step-by-step instructions. They encourage me to take adventures, but those are useless. Nothing works. I’m uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Maybe it didn’t load properly. Recommendation: put a contact email for support and a task/“adventure” dashboard or button to enter success

Motivating

The reflection encouraged combined with true choice for “adventures” is awesome.

Great sequel to my favorite mental health app

I was already a big fan of the original Guardians: Unite the Realms, so I was stoked to see that Guardians: Paradise Island continues and improves upon the original daily mental health/personal growth game. I find it can be hard to get motivated to do anything these days but when I wake up and open Paradise Island I'm greeted with all my favorite little creatures and a new goal that helps me get motivated to start the day. The fact this game is free AND helps me feel better makes it my favorite app on my phone.
