If watering plants was fun, we’d remember. But it’s not and our spouses have gotten on our case about it. Well, it’s time to show who’s boss.

To defeat this forgetful habit, we spiced up the watering task with gamification: watering streaks, naming your plants like babies, plant-selfies, and time-lapse videos to watch your plants grow baby grow.

Never forget to water your plants again with our Happy Plant features

Video Plants Growing:

Each time you water your plants, you can take a photo. In doing so, you’re actually assembling epic time-lapse video of your plant growth over time. It’s a fun video to watch as your green baby becomes a thriving green plant.

More Than An Alarm Clock:

Happy Plant is more than an alarm clock. It’s a good habit builder. We believe that seeing progress over time creates positive associations in your brain that help you remember better. Are we clever scientists? Not at all! But we’re finally watering our plants and our spouses aren’t yelling at us for being dumb. What more proof do we need?

Plant Care Turned Into Fun Experiences:

Having a fun water schedule not only helps to keep your plant hydrated, but it will help to prevent overwatering as well. With all our daily responsibilities, it’s easy to forget if you did something or not.

Tracking your plant watering will help guide you into becoming a good gardener. Each day when it’s time to water a plant, you’ll receive a notification. When you water your plant, you add to your water streak. Challenge yourself to see how long you can keep your water streak going.

When your plant is in the green zone, your baby is hydrated and happy.

When your plant is in the red zone, your baby is thirsty and in the danger zone.

Enjoy Healthy Plants!

Don’t be that forgetful dude ever again. Happy Plant is like the household wingman that will remind you to take care of your plants. It’s that’s simple.

“Now my wife asks me to buy new plants. Never would’ve imagined.” - the surprised cat
“ You just saved my marriage…and yeah, my plants too” - the lucky cat
“Watering my plants reminds me to shower” - the strange cat
“My plants love me. I love my plants…and the rest of the family” - the mushy cat

We at Happy Plant are on a mission to turn boring, forgetful chores into fun tasks. Through fun, we can remember!

Awesome app

CAMITO's WAY on

Must have!

Good, but needs work

Useful, but needs improvement on

It’s good enough to not let your plants go dry and don’t forget to water them, but it has some bugs that makes it unpleasant to use somethings. Right now for example the app closes immediately after opening it, so I haven’t been able to use it today. You should be able to edit photos from the plants (for example if u took it wrong and didn’t realize it). The interface needs improvement. You should be able to just go back a step when it directs you to a selfie for a plant. If you got it wrong and want to go back, u have to close the app. That’s annoying. On the other hand it’s been quite useful to remember always of which plan I have to take care today.

Love This App - Best on the AppStore

Heavy Mouth Breather on

My favourite and most-used app. As with many people the quarantine increased my plant ownership tenfold. I now have about 40 plants including a load of succulents and cacti. There’s no way i’d manage to not kill at least half without this app. Plus the time-lapses will blow your mind - i genuinely had no clue how quickly things were growing and now i have proof! I have had to stop showing my friends regularly, though, as apparently only i care about my plants’ time lapses. One request to developers: I know you sort the plant tab alphabetically by plant name. i think there should be a toggle for watering date. that way i can see chronologically which plants need watering soonest. Just a thought :)

Missing Feature

I like this app but it doesn’t give you the option to water your plant outside of your schedule. So if you set a plant to be watered every 7 days and you water it day 5 it won’t give you the option to water and take a picture. You have to wait until you hit your 7 day mark. It would be VERY helpful to have that feature added on this app.

Easy to use.

Simple. Just what I needed to track my plants watering schedule. Love the cute alert messages. Only issue is the UI in dark mode doesn’t look great on my iPhone app and is hard to read. Hope this gets updated in the near future.

I love this app! I think my numerous house plants love it too. After all, they get their photo made, appear on an app page with their siblings, are not dependent upon my memory for their feeding and watering, have their growth documented and can see their offspring grow and develop. If you love plants and want them to thrive, I think you should check out this app.

It's fine but it makes you pay for more than three plants, just download Plant Daddy instead it's free

Love it, but have three wishes

LovelyLyndaK on

I love this app, but there are a few things I have on my wish list, that would make it even better for me. 1) The ability to take a picture later. Sometimes I water in the evening, when it is too dark to get a picture. 2) An “I’m not thirsty” option, for when you check your plant, but it doesn’t need water. I have a plant that is getting mush leaves from overwatering. 3) An extra thirsty option, for the days you want to water extra, because they look dry or are too hot. I use this app for my outdoor garden, and sometimes I have extra watering days, but would like to reset the counter. I purchased this app the day I downloaded it, and have recommended it to several people. At first, I thought it was kind of silly, but my plants have been thriving since I downloaded this.
