More Than An Alarm Clock:
Happy Plant is more than an alarm clock. It’s a good habit builder. We believe that seeing progress over time creates positive associations in your brain that help you remember better. Are we clever scientists? Not at all! But we’re finally watering our plants and our spouses aren’t yelling at us for being dumb. What more proof do we need?
Plant Care Turned Into Fun Experiences:
Having a fun water schedule not only helps to keep your plant hydrated, but it will help to prevent overwatering as well. With all our daily responsibilities, it’s easy to forget if you did something or not.
Tracking your plant watering will help guide you into becoming a good gardener. Each day when it’s time to water a plant, you’ll receive a notification. When you water your plant, you add to your water streak. Challenge yourself to see how long you can keep your water streak going.
When your plant is in the green zone, your baby is hydrated and happy.
When your plant is in the red zone, your baby is thirsty and in the danger zone.

Was a good app, so paid for premium. Then app crashed constantly, had to reinstall, now does not register as premium. Dodgy. Tried contacting dev multiple times no response.

Annoying

Emma-Kate1 on

Pretty annoyed you have to take photos! I just wanted to set a reminder every three days. Such a hassle.

Needs a few updates

1. Can’t edit image once you have put in a plant. Have to delete plant and make new one 2. When typing in the plant name can’t see what you are typing because iPhone keyboard overlapping

App lacks basic functionality

That_Jazz_Girl on

Dear lord please make it possible to either set the routine to start at a future date, or at least to edit the routine once it’s been set. Very frustrating to be told “you’ve forgotten to water your plant and now it’s dying” when actually I watered it yesterday but the app is still operating off an old routine.

Not worth it

Rupil on

Bought the app then realised you can’t manually water a plant and then tell the app you did so. Contacted the maker to ask for info and no response was received.

Pretty stupid

Doesn’t allow you to actually set a water time, the app just crashes... very disappointing, it would be a good app otherwise.

Glitching

Raph #1 on

Glitching when I change the date to water plant, it stays on the same date and you have to then wait for the next watering but it’s wrong because you had to change it on the wrong date only when it allows

Promising, but needs improvement

I bought the app to get the premium functionality, however it’s still very limited. I use the app to track my plants’s watering schedule. I like the fact that you can see how your plants are doing over time in the video function. However, Happy Plant developers, please update the app to include more functionality and fix the bugs! Just a few things that can be improved: The red notification badge does not disappear from the app icon after watering is marked as done. They should disappear once you’ve watered your plants within the app. It would be good to be able to water the plants before the scheduled watering date. The app only allows you to log it after you’ve reached the scheduled watering date. You would have to go in the settings of the plant and reset the schedule to log the early watering session. It’s not possible to edit the name of the plant after adding it. To change the name, you need to remove and add a new plant. It would be helpful to be able to set a future watering date as well, instead of just today’s date and time. Currently, you can only schedule a watering session for today’s date. Instead of saying ‘water me in X days’ for the plant, which is very confusing and inaccurate, I would suggest something like ‘watering every X days. Eg. Currently it will say ‘water me in 7 days’ even if the next watering date is the following day. When you click on the ‘next watering’ tab, nothing happens. Not sure if this is a bug. It would be helpful to actually show the plants that are due for watering tomorrow. Also helpful if we could see when we actually watered the plants, eg to include a date on the photo that is taken every time it’s watered. The video is great, but even better if the date of watering is on the photos. Thank you!

I paid premium but it’s just not worth it yet

As a free app it makes sense, but the premium is still too limiting. You can take a photo of a plant and then set it for how often you want a watering reminder. That’s it. It also makes you take a photo every single time you water the plant, It literally won’t let you register that a plan has been watered without photographing it. So for those who are carrying misters and watering cans around you still have to drop everything and keep your phone on you to take photos every time which is a real pain. I’d rather just take a photo every now and then if I choose to. Also, there is no way to remind about fertilising or any other things that plants need. As a concept, the app is great, but the “premium” version is anything but, its execution feels very unthought out and limiting. Hoping to see the changes soon so I can upgrade my rating

Ridiculous

Jannnnnnnine on

App crashed and refused to open and now it has deleted all of my data. Months of adding plants and documenting their growth is just gone. The developers don’t respond to emails or contact requests. I would NOT recommend this app to anyone.
