Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial, you will be automatically charged a price indicated on the payment screen for a chosen subscription period. Don’t worry, though — in any case, you’ll receive a reminder from us that your free trial is about to end.
The Headway Premium subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (each week, month, 6 months, year, or otherwise, depending on the selected option) until you cancel. Canceling your subscription means the automatic renewal will be disabled. However, you will still have access to all your subscription features for the remaining time of your then-current period.
Note that deleting the app does not cancel your subscriptions.

Okay but could do better
Original one star review is below and this is an update after receiving a refund. The refund was received after leaving a negative review on Trustpilot. I’m grateful for the refund but it shouldn’t take a bad review for a company to be flexible in their approach (as other reputable businesses are, Apple particularly). I signed up for a discounted 3 month deal. I tried a few books and didn’t enjoy the summaries or narrators so used it only for 2-3 books during the first week. I do not remember reading that I would continue to be charged so when I received an email to let me know they had taken $80 from my account for another 3 months I sent an email requesting a refund, cancelled my subscription and deleted the app. I imagine they can see that it hasn’t been used, but they offer no flexibility and I was referred to Clause 7.8, which states no refunds. So I have lost $80, though have been told I can use the service for the next 3 months, which is not helpful given that I do not like it. I imagine they get quite a bit of income this way…
Got my money stolen through rogue charges.
As is said on the tin, my money was stolen, from being charged whilst unsubscribed. I unsubscribed from the app awhile ago (late March 2024) and thought all was good. Fast forward to today, and discover that a new quarterly subscription of $48 was added with an extra $15 charge, when I had not resubscribed. From what I have seen at the time at the time of this review, others who had the same experience have not gotten a refund, and this business seems to be avoidant of any questions imposed on this matter. In summary, avoid at all costs, no matter how the “anti-doomscrolling” ads tempt you; your money *will* be stolen through unauthorised transactions. If you do seek to improve productivity, read more, or otherwise avoid social media, then I would seek comfort in reading real books (small segments at a time), playing board/video games, and hanging out with friends in a phoneless environment.

I haven’t yet made a proper routine of listening yet, but I am loving what I am learning as well as the practicality of what it teaches! Awesome app

Found this one of the most helpful for a person who would like to read but not able to read because of having more time for taking books or reading from the Kindle or Apple iBooks or Amazon audiobooks this one gives a brief summary of the books
Scam-No way to unsubscribe
You can’t unsubscribe, Apple support unable to help. Only solution is cancel credit card.
Couldn’t cancel subscription!
After numerous times of email and trying to cancel can’t get a reply email. BEWARE THIS APP IS HARD YOU UNSUBSCRIBE FROM!
