Hello Weather: Forecast & Maps

Storm radar & weather widget

Description

Hi, we're Jonas and Trevor, the crew behind Hello Weather. There are a million weather apps out there, and they're all overloaded with ugly ads, confusing interfaces, and stupid gimmicks. We think that stinks, so we made the antidote—a straightforward, no-nonsense app that’s a joy to use.
Five reasons why you’ll love planning your day with Hello Weather...
1. All the info you need is right in your face.
Our gorgeous, information-rich design shows you everything that matters in one simple screen. You’ll see the current conditions and future forecast in an instant.
2. You won’t waste time looking at useless stuff.
Hello Weather intelligently adapts to changing conditions. When it's stormy, you’ll see all the relevant details right upfront. When conditions improve, it’s all tucked neatly out of the way again.
3. You’ll get predictions you can trust.
Hello Weather is more than a pretty face. It’s powered by the world’s best data sources, like Apple Weather, AccuWeather, Foreca, The Weather Company, and Tomorrow.io. Pick the provider that's best in your area, or switch back and forth to compare. (Upgrade required.)
4. You don’t need to be a weather expert.
What does barometric pressure mean? Is the dewpoint good or bad? We translated those esoteric stats into human words, so you’ll know how it really feels outside.
5. It’ll make you smile.
We filled the app with tons of thoughtful little touches to brighten your day. You’ll love the beautiful color themes, automatic night mode, and sweet secret extras.
And that's not all…
• Radar’s built right in.
When the storm's a-brewin', we've got your back! Our powerful radar tab shows you exactly what's headed your way.
• The finest weather widgets on Earth.
Our main app is only the tip of the iceberg—we’ve got excellent customizable Home Screen widgets for quick access to all the forecast info you need.
• An excellent Apple Watch app too!
The same great Hello Weather, but teensy enough for your wrist.
• Made with care by a tiny indie company.
We pour a lot of love into our app, and we take great care of our customers. We're always just an email or tweet away.

Hello Weather Reviews

Please Make a Moon Info LockScreen Widget!

herb sherb on

Canada

That’s the one thing I miss about using the Apple Weather app: seeing moonrise/moonset info and moon phase info right on the lockscreen. Otherwise, great app!

Amazing data sources

Prettygoodname on

Canada

Has a huge selection of data sources that allows you to have more accurate forecasts. All shown in a way better format then default weather apps!

Great app and data/privacy friendly

I originally download it because it doesn’t sell my data, but turns out to be better than the other apps anyway. Support the developers!!

A reliable weather companion

broodResound on

Canada

For over a year, Hello Weather has been my go-to daily weather source. It masterfully displays crucial information on its widget and Home Screen, eliminating the need for scrolling, swiping, or clicking. Every morning, Hello Weather guides my clothing choices and reminds me if I need an umbrella. Thank you!

Hello weather…excellent

J’apprécierais tellement que votre appli puisse être en français car elle m’est très utile. C’est la meilleure…

Lacking Canadian Weather Data

Dialectical Materia on

Canada

It would be amazing if you could add Environment Canada as a data source. Theirs is so much more accurate than any other source you support, and the difference in forecast are often 5°c or more. Their official app WeatherCAN does not have Apple Watch support, so it would be very appreciated if you could add their data to yours 😊

apple watch

please move the refresh option to the bottom of the apple watch display instead of right at the top. it takes up too much space on an already small screen

Doesn’t show basic forecast

SteamyDinkins on

Canada

I’m glad they finally fixed the radar tab, after well over a year of it being totally broken, but the forecast tab still hangs on startup — something that has happened intermittently for, again, way more than a year, but which seems to have recently gotten worse. It isn’t a new issue; I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve reported it to the developers. This is a good concept for an app, with friendly weather displays and a nice UX, but if it can’t reliably show the weather then all the UI in the world won’t help.

Better than most

Blahblahblahblahgtgfyuhyt on

For a supposedly small development team, this app is great. I have approximately 5 weather apps installed for the various perspectives and this one is definitely on top. (Canadian) Would love if they included more information/functions (specifically precipitation amounts) on the Apple Watch.
