Description

Hi, we're Jonas and Trevor, the crew behind Hello Weather. There are a million weather apps out there, and they're all overloaded with ugly ads, confusing interfaces, and stupid gimmicks. We think that stinks, so we made the antidote—a straightforward, no-nonsense app that’s a joy to use.
Five reasons why you’ll love planning your day with Hello Weather...
1. All the info you need is right in your face.
Our gorgeous, information-rich design shows you everything that matters in one simple screen. You’ll see the current conditions and future forecast in an instant.
2. You won’t waste time looking at useless stuff.
Hello Weather intelligently adapts to changing conditions. When it's stormy, you’ll see all the relevant details right upfront. When conditions improve, it’s all tucked neatly out of the way again.
3. You’ll get predictions you can trust.
Hello Weather is more than a pretty face. It’s powered by the world’s best data sources, like Apple Weather, AccuWeather, Foreca, The Weather Company, and Tomorrow.io. Pick the provider that's best in your area, or switch back and forth to compare. (Upgrade required.)
4. You don’t need to be a weather expert.
What does barometric pressure mean? Is the dewpoint good or bad? We translated those esoteric stats into human words, so you’ll know how it really feels outside.
5. It’ll make you smile.
We filled the app with tons of thoughtful little touches to brighten your day. You’ll love the beautiful color themes, automatic night mode, and sweet secret extras.
And that's not all…
• Radar’s built right in.
When the storm's a-brewin', we've got your back! Our powerful radar tab shows you exactly what's headed your way.
• The finest weather widgets on Earth.
Our main app is only the tip of the iceberg—we’ve got excellent customizable Home Screen widgets for quick access to all the forecast info you need.
• An excellent Apple Watch app too!
The same great Hello Weather, but teensy enough for your wrist.
• Made with care by a tiny indie company.
We pour a lot of love into our app, and we take great care of our customers. We're always just an email or tweet away.

Many options, good privacy, poor radar

jd2020 on

Highly customizable for data and friendly user design. The only problem is the radar which offers either past or future. In 2024 a decent weather app should put them both in the same display, like Apple Weather and Dark Sky used to. Having to switch back and forth is tedious. Also, “Future” radar isn’t great. It doesn’t seem to know about approaching thunderstorms, for example.

Great privacy policy, meh weather app

The Continental on

I love the refreshing privacy policy and no ads. But I don’t like anything about this app’s weather. Everything good (Apple Watch, detailed radar, etc.) is hidden behind a paywall. The weather source for the free version of the app is Apple Weather. But I already have Apple Weather on my phone, way nicer to look at with 10 times the granular detail, including hour-by-hour forecasts well beyond Hello Weather’s measly 12 hours. So why would I want this? Also, the upgrade version costs too much. Instead, get Foreca Weather, also fairly respectful of privacy and an original OG weather source, for a fraction.

Best weather app yet!

This one never fails to give me what I need for the day, a vacation, or to plan an outdoor activity. And it’s fun! Love the colors! You can go deep into the weather or just get the forecast with any possible warnings, and get going!

A win for users!

Whenever developers take user privacy and usefulness seriously it’s a win for users! A unified experience that’s not filled with business. Every thing you need in a well laid out manner. We need to support more developers like this.

All of a sudden does not work!

ray ciss on

Had a few times where the app would get stuck and just spin. Usually a re download would fix it. Not anymore! Moving on to a weather app that works!

Simple and Good

But could be great if I could see hourly beyond 12-15 hours. This feature was nice when the app was launched. It feels limiting after all these years. The data is there, please make it available for us to see it.

A Rare Gem

Steven82Smith on

Just an unassuming looking weather app. I mean, who has an app with a smiley face sun and calls it Hello Weather? So, I took a look and I am very impressed. Not only does it offer great information but it does so in a most attractive way. But it isn't just flash. It's easily understandable graphical format does it better than the competition. I know. I looked. I put my money where my mouth is and bought a lifetime account.

Pretty good

It has a free widget and shows all weather even if you travel for me my iPhone is very old so it doesn’t work as well but for my iPad it’s perfect 👌
