Excellent! App.
Latest version is slow to detect current playing on device. Also sometimes it doesn’t respond to stop commands etc. The app has never been pretty but always worked fairly solidly, so hope they fix it and ensure it is reliable and performant . My device has no screen so I rely on this app a lot .
They’ve just updated it. It look promising but clearly it has NOT been tested and in particular in the field with multiple pieces of kit. Take just now, playing tracks from USB then I want to switch to internet radio, whatever I do I just cannot get out of USB playback. I wish I’d never updated to this poorly implemented app. I cannot give it a single star.
Sound from my marantz sr7013 breathtaking the app Takes a long time to set up he heos went wrong on me two years ago and I gave up on it but now it seems to be working okay they fixed a lot of problems such as stations that I couldn't get here in Ireland thank you to the team much obliged but reading down through all that reviews this app of yours could be a lot lot better come on bring us into the 24th century when nearly there now spend a bit of time upgrading making things easier not harder for us the likes of me who is 72 years of age come on lads get your act togetherMake it better thank you
My Denon 5.1 system lost connection without any reason after a couple of months after initial installation. Only the sound bar is working, the HEOS app cannot recognize the subwoofer and the two 150 speakers. The device adding process dies before finalizing it. Sometimes it halts at the final stage: naming; the app refusing to save any name. The HEOS app suggest connecting my iPhone with Ethernet cable to the speakers to make it work as a secondary option. If the speakers were not expensive pieces bricked by an unknown issue, it would be amusing to see the incompetent and meaningless app support, but the lack of options make me mad.
Limited scope on PM7000N and does not work with Apple Home using iPhone 12 Pro max
Great app, but Alexa integration is still not supported in Ireland. Amazon are blaming Denon and Denon support blame Amazon. Just sort it out already, should be an easy fix
Unfortunately the app does not have the same scope to explore and search for music and recommendations as a native Tidal app. I wished it was more aligned menu-wise with the Tidal app or was using the native app instead. Otherwise works fine.
If you only want to play music from a paid music source it’s fine as it throws you out to the respective app but if you want to play your own music on a nas drive then it’s a pain as each time you have to keep browsing till you get to the folder and then start adding to the queue. You should be able to save your source folder to the favourites for easier access. You should also have the option to just select a random mix from songs albums or genre and have it play till you turn it off. A lot of older now defunct systems had this feature but Denon don’t seem to want to implement these features as people have mentioned it on numerous forums for quite a while now and it still hasn’t happened.
With ND8006, connected to PM-KI Ruby via a remote connection plug cable, you can switch on and off the HIFI system over WIFI. Volume control also works fine. Music selection is done via Apple iTunes Remote app. Using for a couple of months now, there is no problem and I am a happy camper.
